Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [09/07].].
If Wayne was a little more inclined to pay attention to American traditions, he might not have been as surprised as he was to find that the stove in the kitchenette of the third floor common room had been replaced by a grill, nor would he question the fact that the common room was definitely doing its 'nudge Wayne in a certain culinary direction ' thing by providing a lot of beef and buns that morning.
As it was, he just thought it was a little excessive, because he'd just been doing grillin' fer the party that weekend.
But, never one to shy away from the challenge of what the island seemed to want to foist onto him (not these days, anywhey, not anymore...), he just readjusted accordingly, and got to work, making a breakfast that was a little heavier on burgers than pancakes, though he did manage a bit of those, too, as well as the usual variety of things, fer all the variety of palates that went beyond the favored 'just fill up a plate' approach.

Someone may have picked up on how that seemed to be a popular conversation topic around here, and he held up a hand for Wayne to get him on the upside for that one.

He wouldn't leave a fella hanging, but he wouldn't do any of the work for it, neither.
"There's burgers because there's a grill and that's what the common room decided to give me," he said, "and there's no point in lettin' it jus' go to waste. Fix you up a plate?"

She was still tired from her party on Friday but that was no excuse on Monday to not eat breakfast or spend time with people in the common room.

Goddess, she hoped so. It would be so incredibly rude to get his name wrong.

Subtle, Adora was not.

"Good thing we've got food, then!" he remarked. "Fix you up a plate?"

"No complaints!" he realized. "Fuck, that's a nice change of pace. What about yours? Good si far?"

It said a lot that turning into a dinosaur for a class period was not especially remarkable for him anymore, realleh.

"What's with the science one?" Sabine asked.

"...we drank potions," and wouldn't the teacher just love to hear it being called potions, "that turned us into dinosaurs..."

whose player had a holiday Monday off for the first time in forever, making her way into the common room with Camden at her side."Good morning, Wayne," she greeted as she found herself a spot on the couch, Camden flopping down on the floor in front of her. "What's for breakfast?"

Good thing he had plating to focus on for the moment, then he handed the plates over.
"You don't fuck with tradition," he then said, looking pretty much anywhere that wasn't at Jules and Camden, "where I'm from..."

But obviously you just stuck with the good ones and ignored and decried the bad ones as not realleh tradition. Like Valentine's Day. Fuck Valentine's Day...

"Good!" said Wayne, who even had enough of a grin on his face to prove it, even if the evidence did call for a little bit of close inspection. "N'you?"
