Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [09/21].

Probably not surprising anyone fer this week, considering the weekend, Wayne came into the common room that morning fer Monday Morning Breakfast to find the fridge was particularly well-stocked with sauerkraut and bratwurst, and, not one to let things like that just go to waste, added a frittata and some hash to the usual offerings and expected pancakes.

And he weren't going to even say nothing about it, either, because, as far as weird things to happen on a Monday morning, that barely even registered as one, so it seemed a bit...silly to go and make a fuss.

"Hi Elli," he said returning the grin. "How's it going?"

"Not too bad," she said contentedly. "It was a good weekend--did you get a chance to check out the festival in the park on Saturday?"

[sparkinyou]

"Nah, I was too busy handwavily finishing the wall in my room," Miles replied. "Sounded like it was a lot of fun though. Did you go?"

"Just for a little bit oh so handwavily</strike," Elli said, with a little shrug. "The stalls and games were interesting but once people really got started on drinking, I left. "What did you do to your wall?" she added curiously.

"Oh, I was putting up some of my art on it," Miles replied drying his hands for a second so he could pull out his phone and show off a snapshot of it. "It's from the city where I'm from."

"Goddess!" Elli said, looking at it. "That's amazing! How long did it take you to do that?"

[*weeps for the formatting in the last ping lol*]

"Better part of a day," Miles admitted, trying not to sound too full of himself. "And I've been adding on to it throughout the week."

"That's fantastic," she said, impressed. "No wonder you missed the festival!"

Elli hesitated a moment. "Were you a little homesick when you did this?"

"I wouldn't say homesick," Miles said trying to think through the answer. "More like I needed something normal to do that wasn't growing wings or putting on a weird costume."
