Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [09/21].

Probably not surprising anyone fer this week, considering the weekend, Wayne came into the common room that morning fer Monday Morning Breakfast to find the fridge was particularly well-stocked with sauerkraut and bratwurst, and, not one to let things like that just go to waste, added a frittata and some hash to the usual offerings and expected pancakes.

And he weren't going to even say nothing about it, either, because, as far as weird things to happen on a Monday morning, that barely even registered as one, so it seemed a bit...silly to go and make a fuss.

"There's not a whole lot of work to go around in these parts as is," Wayne noted with that uncomfortable feeling settling back into his chest that he'd had for far too long after he'd gotten here and found how little there was to actually do, though he'd grown a bit more accustomed to not having so much chorin' to keep himself busy with. "S'pose that helps spread it out a little more..."

"Okay. Good. So I'm not the only one who thinks that is weird," Miles said with a nod as he finished up all the current dirty dishes.

Take that Nina.

"All right. I think I'm ready to eat. What do you think is best?" he asked, grabbing a plate.

"Can't go wrong with the pancakes," Wayne said, with a note of pride because that definitely had become a thing for him over his year and change here, moving to dish out those things as he named them off for Miles and his plate if he wanted, "and the hash is a good bet, too. The frittata's not so bad, but the sauerkraut makes it a little different, if yer trying to avoid that sort of thing."

Which Wayne generally was himself, but when the fridge gave you fermented cabbage...

"I'll stick with the pancakes and hash," Miles said gratefully. "And as always, thanks for doing this."

"Don't mention it!" said Wayne, as much an actual request as actual modesty, because he did get a little embarrassed and awkward about it when someone made a fuss, which miles seemed a bit wont to do...
