Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [03/15].
Breakfast that morning...might be a bit slow going.
Because when Wayne came into the common room that morning fer Monday Morning Breakfast, something felt...off. Something definitely felt...not right. And that was normal, realleh, fer most Mondays around here, but the real kicker here, unlike most Monday mornings that were a bit...off....Wayne couldn't figgur out exactly why.
And, realleh, that there was the worst kind of off.
Everything seemed normal, but he didn't trust it, so it was with great caution and mebbe even a bit of nervousness that he opened every cabinet, every drawer, expecting something awful to be inside or something to jump out at him, but so far, everything had been fine. The same suspicious caution was practiced in opening up the flour, pouring the milk, with the crack of each and every egg.
So far, so good, he s'posed, but that just meant surely something real bad was lying in wait at pert'near any second now...
...mebbe Shuri really had been onto something yesterday with all her booby traps.
[[ and open breakfast is open! if a bit suspicious! ]]

Finally, he managed to work past his concern enough to ask, "Sabine. How are ya now?"
And for once he felt it might be better if she didn't even answer!

Or she didn't look for more than a second.

He almost wish he had, though, because the fact that they didn't know who did was....a bit...distressing.
"You think they'll be back fer more?" he asked, wishing he'd had the foresight to ask Shuri to give the third floor her common room booby trap treatment, too...

"'Course," he added, after a moment, "if I were a cereal theif, I wouldn't want anyone knowing I thought like a cereal theif ..."

She would love to punch someone in the face today, honestly.

Usual-leh, anywhey...
"Could hurt your hand, though," he pointed out, a little sadly. "Would it be worth it? 'Specially when there's plenty of breakfast here?"
Not as much as usual, since he was bein' a bit cautious about the whole thing, but enough to be better'n cereal!

Totally reasonable.

He set that plate side; he definitely didn't trust that crack. Picked up the next to examine.
"It's the most important meal of the day."

She'd apologize next week.

He squinted at the next one, bringing it as close as he could without touching his nose to it.
"....suspect."
Of what? He wasn't sure! But they just didn't feel right, if you asked him.
