Sixth Floor Common Room; Friday Evening. [04/23]

Ummmm....today had been the last day of classes, which made it officially summer...how was nobody totally on a party for that fact???

It was, at least, a problem easily fixed, so with help from Wayne and Astrid (and Astrid's T&C discount, heh heh heh), snacks, beverages, and a keg were procured and dragged all the way up to what he was now dubbing The Party Floor, a few pizzas were ordered, and if the mass text wasn't enough, each of the party planners went down to a respective floor to holler out the news of a party on the sixth floor (each to varying degrees of shouty-ness).

So now it was time to pump up some music, crack open some drinks, and party it up.

And if no one else showed up, there was worse company than Astrid (no comment on Wayne but he did do most of the keg carrying), but that would be kinda lame on everyone's part.

Who didn't party on the last day of school before summer??

Anywhere else, Astrid figured she would have felt awkward just hanging back, drinking a beer she didn't even really like, listening to two guys bickering over which was better, hockey or football, but here? Here, it was honestly great.

She didn't understand barely a word of it, of course, but thay didn't stop it from being entertaining as hell.

Since arguing with Wayne was like arguing with a plaid brick wall, Troy eventually got frustrated enough to feel the need to pull in some back-up.

"Where do you weigh in on all this, Astrid?" he asked. "You've played sports, right?"

Probably volleyball. Astrid definitely had volleyball chick height vibes.

Astrid just looked at Troy for a moment, trying to discern what in the world would make him think she would have played.sports. she hadn't even played sports when she did go to a normal school...

Still, she shrugged and answered, deadpan as can be, "Sure. Water polo."

She gave it a second for the sceptical look to land on Troy's face.

"Like regular polo, only with seahorses."

And while Troy was working on figgurin' out if that was a real thing or not, Wayne was going to show his appreciation for Astrid's sense of humor with his really, really, really drunk laugh, thanks to making quick work of that keg.

Look, if he was gonna be carrying it all the way up to the sixth floor, he was gonna make sure it got appreciated!

Plus, it was a shame that clip had yet to be referenced so far.
