Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [08/02].
A part of Astrid was starting to wonder if, after last week, she was just sort of doing this for radio, but, at the same time, Astrid knew she was also still doing this because she was sometimes just a creature of habit and she honestly had nothing better to do. She was up, so she might as well just head upstairs, do a little bit of cooking, have a nice breakfast by herself if no one else showed up, and have a nice breakfast with her schoolmates if anyone did.
And it turned out that the fridge decided to provide a lot of eggs (not just eggs, this time, there were other things, but there were also a lot of eggs), so she figured that was a good sign for her to just sort of practice her skills with eggs in particular, trying to get the perfect sunny-side-up and the perfect over-easy, and getting quite a lot of scrambled eggs in the process.
So, hopefully, if anyone did join her that morning, they liked eggs.
[[ and it's breakfast! So it's totes open! ]]

handwavilygoing to the gym early in the morning and so was up at a reasonable time most days. For a change, she decided to see if anything was happening on the other floors this early and stopped by the third floor common room when she was noticed activity happening, “hey,” she said, albeit a bit awkwardly from the doorway as she glanced in .

She moved aside just a little although there was plenty of room and tilted her head thoughtfully at Alara.
"I'm Astrid, by the way," she offered. "I'm not sure we've actually really met."
She'd seen the other girl around a lot, of course; she noticed things like that. But if they'd ever said more than five words to each other, Astrid certainly didn't remember it.

“I don’t think we’ve officially met,” she said at last.

Not as long as she herself had been, probably, but sometimes it felt like she was one of the oldest students here. Not by age, of course, but just experience. Longevity.
"I've seen you around, anyway. I think."

She paused, to sip her tea.
"Except for a half-year where I went back home for a while. It..." Another pause, this time to figure how best to put it. "Didn't really work out.
"It's definitely been an interesting three years," she added, as if to venture away from that a little bit. "I'm sure the last one's going to be no different."
