Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Belle was turning 16 today again!

"The party isn't until later, of course," she said to a camera that absolutely wasn't actually there but that she could see all the same. "There's plenty of time before then so I'm getting some breakfast. I wanted to have a breakfast to start off the day but Papa refused so I suppose I have to fend for myself in here. Like a peasant."

She filled up a bowl while she continued talking. "I suppose that left more to spend on the rest of the party, which is obviously literary in theme and it's going to be amazing. Just wait until everyone sees my dress! You can actually read the lines of the book if you look closely enough! And I'm sure Papa has gifts planned. He wouldn't let an occasion like this pass by without something special. I just hope he remembered not to invite Gaston. That would ruin the whole day. Gaston and Five, of course."


[Open common room is open if anyone wants to talk to their own imaginary cameras about their own imaginary birthdays and their own imaginary celebrations!]

Tahani was of course talking to her own imaginary camera as she barged into the common room. "Well, if Father can't get Robbie Williams to come, I will of course pitch myself off of the roof. It's the most important day of my entire life and everything has to be perfect."

"That seems a bit drastic," Belle said, rolling her eyes at her imaginary camera.

"But," Tahani said, "it would mean everyone would talk about my party forever!"

This would be some dramatic freaking irony in ten years when she actually died in a way people talked about forever.

"You wouldn't be able to enjoy it," Belle pointed out. "I'd rather be around to hear everyone talk about my party for years."

"But what if they don't," Tahani said, wide-eyed.

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"Of course they'll talk about my party," Belle said. "Why wouldn't they? It will be an event."

But not more than Tahani's party, right?

"But not more than my party, yes?" Tahani asked.

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"I should hope more than your party. Otherwise what's the point of all of it?"

Alexis came in just in time to hear this.

"Wait. Are you having a party, too?"

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"It's my birthday," Belle said. The event of the season, Alexis, how did you not know about this?

"Of course there's a party!"

"You can't have a birthday party, I'm having a birthday party."

How dare, Belle. How very dare.

"My party is tonight," Belle said. "Yours must be another time. There couldn't possibly be overlap!"

"Well, mine's tonight. And it starts earlier than yours."

She'd change the whole party to make sure of it.

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"She's being ridiculous," Belle said, turning to the imaginary camera. "She already agreed to come to my party so I have no idea what this is about."

Alexis had, of course, done no such thing. Since there had never been invitations.

Alexis didn't see a camera there.

But she did try and hone in on Belle's shot, saying, "Like I would even go to her tacky little party anyway."

"Because my party is going to be the good one," Tahani said. "Everyone knows this."

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"My party tonight is going to be wonderful," Belle corrected. "Yours, whenever it is, might be fine."

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"I would never be involved in something tacky," Belle said, moving over to block Alexis from the camera that was totally there for real. "I'm sure she's thinking of someone else."

"Fine?!" Tahani shrieked.

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"Pleasant?" Belle tried again.

"I'm thinking of you!" Alexis said helpfully, trying to shove Belle out of the way of nothing.

"I am NOT pleasant!"

Well then.

"She said it," Belle said, turning back to that imaginary camera again. "I didn't."

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"You must have me confused with someone else," Belle said in an aggressively cheerful tone as she stepped in front of Alexis. "Perhaps yourself?"

Troy was chuckling as he made his way, backwards so that he was facing the camera that weren't really there as they entered the common room, a grin on his face and a shrugging gesture before clapping his hands together.

"So as you guys totally already know," he was saying, giving the collar of her letterman jacket a tug before his expressive gesturing took over, "I'm gonna be sixteen this year, and it's my brithday today, and you know I'm not really supposed to celebrate birthdays and everything, but you know? That's gonna make this party even better. Never had one before. Never! I know, it's crazy, right? So that just means we are going to go all out. It's...." He paused to mug at the camera so his face said everything that needed to be said, but he was still going to continue, "kiiiind of a big deal. But first? Breakfast. We're talking all the sugar cereal. On a Sunday. That's right, fellas. Today, T-Bone's breakin' all the rules."

He laughed again as he finally turned around to head to the cabinets, quirking his chin up at everyone else in the room and giving little waving gestures and greetings to show how he clearly knew everyone and was super cool all around.
