Second Floor Common Room; Saturday Afternoon [11/13].
There had been a lot of painting and drawings in the room where Astrid woke up, including some beautiful and fascinating murals on the walls, and that had captured her attention pretty firmly through most of the morning. It might have sucked her in all day if it weren't for the fact that, eventually, she started to get hungry and figured she should find herself some food.
She cracked open the door, poked her head out, consindering the hallway, and then she ventured out. They all looked like private rooms, really, so she moved past most of the doors until she found the room that looked a little more communal...and, most important, there was a fridge and a stove and that meant food.
After doing a look through the cabinets to see what there was, she found some bread and peanut butter and some boxes of mac'n'cheese, and set dutifully to making some, grabbing a chair from the table so she could reach the stove better.
She didn't really think much of it, though. This was pretty typical for any given day, to wake up, her mother no where to be found, spending the day entertaining herself and then eventually making herself some food, because sometimes, Ingrid just forgot stuff like that.

"I've never had a problem with it before," she said.
Because she hadn't.
She would have probably starved to death by now if she had.

Which was nice. It was nice to not have to sneak money from her mom's purse and walk down to the store beforehand.

She really only ever made tea in these rooms and ate things that didn't require cooking.
"I'd love some if there's enough."

A little. She was not a tall girl.

Maybe for lunch another day this week she'd have to try it for herself.
