Gym - Early Monday Morning
Alara had handwavily spent the last few days at home, even though she didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving it had still been a several months since she had last visited and since her relationship with Solana had been rather strained since Parents Weekend, she thought it might be nice to try and spend a few days with her family.
She shouldn’t have been surprised when the topic came to what Alara’s plans were for after high school, her father had encouraged her to start applying to the university … especially considering how different she was academically speaking compared to other applicants it would be a good thing to plan ahead. He could put in a good word and with his connections and she should be able to get in.
Alara then made the mistake of revealing that she didn’t want to go to the university after graduation and wanted to join the military. Needless to say that conversation didn’t go well and now her parents weren’t talking to her, not that they really talked to her to begin with but Solana had suggested that she might stay at Fandom for a while til they processed this.
So now Alara was taking her frustration out on several punching bags before her classes and destroying the punching bags was at least making her feel somewhat better about her trip back home to Xelaya.
