The Deck; Thursday Afternoon [09/01].
While Sakaki seemed to have been safe from cats in the ceiling during her classes, it was a different matter entirely once she returned back to the dorms. Not even Maya could fend them off or protect her from airborne attacks. Half the time she didn't even see them before they descended, and, when she did, she tried to be nice and appreciate their adorableness from a distance, but she really, really should have known better.
Thankfully, if she was outside, there were no ceilings for cats to put the drop on her.
So it was out on the deck that she sat with her first aid kit, diligently tending to all her wounds, which were considerable enough that she almost wondered if she should go to the clinic. But it was also nothing new, either, they were familiar bites and scratches and easily attended to.
And Maya enjoying the outdoors and chasing down butterflies and occasionally coming up to her to nudge her knee and start purring was easily the best balm to sooth all her wounds, anyway.
[[ yes, probably sp, but I had to? Open deck is open, anyway! ]]

"Woah, what happened to you?"

That derailed Sakaki's train of thought for a moment, before she shook her head and finally managed, "Ceiling cats."
As if any further explanation was clearly unnecessary.

Honestly this week was massively weird but she knew how to roll with things by now, and like, sometimes you just got ceiling cats, apparently.

That part was said to both of them.

But she did eventually ask, as Maya occupied himself with other things and so her attention went back to Allie, "You're one of the new students?"

Which was a little surprising. It certainly hadn't felt that long, and she'd already realized in one of her classes that she was a senior now, and she'd be graduating, and she should really get started on those applications to veterinary school before that snuck up on her, too!

"I don't think it's a bad thing," she decided.
Guess she'd know for sure if it really did help her get into vet school.
