Outside Deck- Monday Afternoon- The Dorms

After his one class that morning, and with his laundry now very contently done and off his to-do list, Kurt found he suddenly had some free time. And so he made a small lunch and took it out to the deck to enjoy some fresh air and relax a bit.

There was a lot on his mind too, and he found himself soon getting lost in thought as he did a lot more sitting and thinking than he did actually eating just then.

Graham was thinking of spending the afternoon going over some drills and exploring with Triumph, but on his way out to the stables, he spotted Kurt out the on the deck. Figuring a little detour wouldn't hurt, he changed course and went to join him, hopping up with a wave and a smile.

"Hey, Kurt! How's it going?"

"Hey Graham!" Kurt said, returning both smile and wave. "It's going good" he said with a grin that was a bit bigger than it might have been usually. "How are you and Triumph doing?"

"Oh, we're doing great!" Graham assured him, eagerly and easily. "I was just heading out over there to see him, but we did have a pretty solid sesh earlier today before my Interpretive Dance class, so there's no rush. He'll probably enjoy the extended rest. Not that he needs it, of course."

"Well, there's plenty of space" Kurt said with a grin. "I got some sandwiches if ya'd like," he added with a nod toward the smaller cooler bag. "Nothing too fancy, just some BLTs, but there's plenty to go around."

"Oh," said Graham, grin brightening just that little bit more with a chuckle, "I've never been one turn down a sandwich! That sounds great, Kurt, thanks! Don't suppose I could maybe grab one for the road, too, could I? For Triumph? So he doesn't feel left out."

"Oh sure, Triumph can definitely have one," Kurt replied with a grin. "If he wouldn't like the bacon, I can give him one with double lettuce and tomato."

"Oh, I'm sure he wouldn't mind," said Graham, finally making his way over to the bag to grab the one to enjoy now. "He eats practically anything. And if he doesn't want it, I sure will!"

Kurt smiled because that sounded about right!

"Oh, and there's lemonade too if you would like some," he said pulling out the thermos and a couple of paper cups he had brought along. "Not sure Triumph would care for it but you of course are welcome to have some!"

"Only one way to find put!" Graham said cheerfully, "and that's to bring some if that to him, too!"

But for now? He had his own food to attend to! Taking a seat and getting comfortable, his shoulders did a little shimmy of anticipation as he looked down at the sandwich between his hands and took a big bite.

"So," he then asked, "how are your classes going?"

Only it came out a bit muffled, because of the sandwich.

Kurt smiled, glad to not only be sharing lunch with one of his good friends but also to see Graham was already seemingly enjoying it.

"Classes are good. I only have two at the school and then one of the community center classes this time around. So not nearly as busy and hectic, which has been very nice. What about you? How's the new round of classes going for you?"

"Ohhhhhhh, they've been great!" Graham enthused eagerly between bites. "I've got lots of them, which is good, because I like it a little hectic and crazy! And it's a good, diverse mix, too! I've got dance and weapons, and sexy crimes and espionage, creative writing and Hylian beasts! Couple classes with Charlie and Vi, so that's always fun! And Belle, too! I'm going to miss having a class with you and Guillermo, though. I was kind of hoping he'd be in Weapons, since we had so much fun in Amaya's class last semester, but no such luck. I don't have any classes with Libby, either. It seems we never seem to have the same classes anymore, for some odd reason..."

"There are definitely a lot of classes to choose from for sure! And it's good you are getting to hang out with Charlie some more," Kurt said with an attempt to hide the grin that spread over his face at the mention of Libby. "And we'll just have to make sure you and I hang out more outside our DnD sessions... Guillermo too!"

'An attempt' was a good way to put it, because of course Graham would notice any shifting in Kurt's smile at the mention of Libby's name, but, zounds, if only he realized the true depths behind such an expression! As it was, though, Graham just had to grin back, feeling some pieces of a puzzle shifting inside his head.

"Are there any good party holidays coming up?" he wondered. "Maybe we can throw one! Get everyone together! Oooh, or maybe some kind of movie night! I know a really good one!"

Was he thinking of meta forOcean's 8?

...obviously, yes.

"I don't think there's any big party-type holidays coming up soon..." Kurt said after a moment's thought. "But a movie night would be really fun! Especially an open one that anyone in the dorms could come and hang out at!"

"Exactly!" said Graham, beaming to see that Kurt was picking up exactly what he was putting down. "We can make a whole bunch of popcorn, fill the common room with all sort of comfy pillows and blankets, see who comes by, and have a grand old time with it!

"Obviously not a Friday, though," he noted, after a thought. "But a Saturday could be good!"

"Definitely not Friday! Can't let anything ELSE get in the way of game night, after all!" Kurt said with an enthusiastic nod. "But that sounds amazing... pillows, bean bag chairs, sleeping bags... lots of snacks and drinks.... it could really be a fun time, no matter who shows up!"

"Bu~uuu~ut," said Graham, who did not actually nudge Kurt, though the grin on his face certainly was, "even better if some certain people do, ri~ight?"

Kurt hoped his face wasn't flushing as bad as it felt like it was just then.

"Yeah, I guess" Kurt said trying to act more nonchalant than he was feeling. "Think we both have certain people we wouldn't mind seeing a bit more often," he ventured, remembering how much Graham seemed to be linking hanging out with Charlie lately.

Graham's subsequent blush, grin, and rub of the back of his neck was a bit sheepish, although not exactly ashamed, as he easily thought of a couple people who fit that bill.

"Heh, yeah," he chuckled with his admission. "That's fair."

"Well, if you get any inkling other than a passing tickle to make something happen, let me know. Will definitely do what I can to make an epic movie night happen!"
