The Deck; Sunday All Day [04/23].

There was going go be a celebratory, end of the semester party tomorrow, in lieu of having classes, and the word needed to be spread around. There were flyers everywhere, of course, and texts would be sent out tomorrow, but today, Graham was going to do it the good old fashioned way, by word of mouth and word of porg intern (he hoped)!

Which was why he could be found out on the deck that day, calling out like a town cryer, hoping to reach the ears of all passersby...and maybe drift up through a few opened windows, as well.

"Hear ye, hear ye!" he announced, boldly and brightly and at regular intervals. "Come one! Come all! The ever-lovely Miss Charlie Gale and the ever-punny Mr. Graham Cra--"

Briefly, this announcement was cut off eith a bug flying right into his mouth,making him cough slightly, then picked right back up again.

"--cordially invite you all to an esteemed end-of-semester pool party! Tomorrow! All day! With blackjack and hookers pizza and drinks in coconuts! Bring your selves, bring your swimsuits, have a swimming good time! You don't want to miss it!"

There. That should do it! He just hoped, if anything, the message was,eventually, hear, and, if not, well, he'd be at this all day!

Being a town crier was quite effective, apparently. Especially for people who just happened to be out of doors on this fine day.

"You're having a party? How exciting, Graham!"

"We're actually having two parties!" Graham informed her proudly, with a grin. And maybe a little hoarsely, thanks to all the cryer-ing. "This is just the first one, but you'll have to wait for more information, on the next one. Think we can expect to see you there, Belle?"

"A second mystery party?" Belle asked, eyebrows raised. "How intriguing! I'm sure I could make an appearance at your pool party. It does sound interesting and we haven't any classes to deal with."

"That's pretty much what me and Charlie figured," Graham said with a decisive, proud nod, "when we were planning this thing out. Since none of is have any classes to go to, why not go to a party instead?"

"I think it sounds like a wonderful idea, Graham," Belle told him. "I look forward to it!"

"As do I," Graham agreed, smiling happily at the prospect. "It's going to be great! We're going to have pizza and drinks in coconut, and swimming," which he could kinda-sorta actually do now!, "and friends! What more could you want?"

Genuine question, too, not just conversational shooting the breeze! Graham would hate to forget anything good!

"Perhaps some sort of sweets, for after the pizza?" Belle suggested. "Or before the pizza, I suppose. Cookies?"

Or jellybeans were always a good bet.

"Does Triumph like swimming?"

Jellybeans were pretty much a guarantee.

"You know," Graham admitted, his head tilted a little thoughtfully. "I don't really think he does. If we had a hot tub, maybe, he'd be all about that, though! Maybe I should bring him by the onsen sometime!"

"He doesn't like cold water? I've never been to the onsen. I couldn't even tell you where it is."

But hopefully Triumph would enjoy soaking with some citrus fruits there sometimes.

"Oh, it's in the woods!" Graham offered, eager to show off his extensive knowledge of where things were on the island, from his countless hours of exploring. "On the far side of the island, so it's nice and quiet and peaceful out there! Maybe we should go sometime! And without classes, there's going to be pleeenty of time to fill!"

"Maybe we should," Belle agreed. "It would be nice to do more exploring here while I have the opportunity."

"There are lots of great places to explore around here, too!" Graham told her, importantly. "Let's go on Tuesday, then! It might be just the thing we'll need after partying so hard tomorrow!"

"That sounds wonderful, Graham. Thank you! I'm sure you make an excellent exploring partner."

"And don't forget Triumph!" Graham pointed out. "Between the two of us, he's the much better explorer! And he can clear out brush much faster than I can, too! But I think we both do pretty alright, especially together!"

"I would never forget Triumph," Belle said. "Triumph is unforgettable. As, I think, are you."

And here Graham was just having a nice innocent conversation about onsens and exploring, and now he felt his cheeks go a little warm as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Aww, thanks, Belle!" he said. "I try! Gotta be memorable, right, if you're going to be a knight of renown? Kinda right there, in the name! In the good way, too! I hope! You're definitely pretty memorable, too! Also in the good way! In a great way, actually!"

"You'll be a wonderful knight someday," Belle assured him. "And thank you, good sir. You're very kind to say so."
