Second Floor Common Room; Saturday Afternoon [01/25].
On a whim (or, rather, on the wings of Graham's high-flying imagination and knack for loosely related tangential conversational yarns), Graham and Belle had not only acquired a book or two on making ice cream, but they'd also collected what they would need to make some, from the equipment to the ingredients, from the milk and sugar and fruit and other things, but especially a whole bunch of different flavors of jelly beans to start experimenting with.
Was it the best time of year to make ice cream? Probably not! But that wasn't going to stop them because they were on a mission to see how this might work out and they honestly really didn't have anything better to do that afternoon.
So let the ice cream making....begin!
...as soon as one of the ice cream makers stopped 'taste-tasting' jellybeans to make sure they were up to snuff, anyway!

"If you eat all the jellybeans," Belle pointed out, "we won't have enough for ice cream and we'll have to go get more."
Oh no. A terrible fate indeed.

Yes, Belle, you really should have. Honestly.
"We can make a variety of ice creams, remember. We needn't stress over making a decision when we can make several!"
They had friends. They could unload some ice cream if needed. Plus the common rooms had plenty of freezer space!
"Perhaps if we think of flavors we definitely do not want to include that will help?"

"I quite like the red ones, the fruity red ones, perhaps we can start there? Cherry and strawberry and pomegranate and fruit punch? The ice cream might turn out pink? We'll have to experiment."

He found he had two different, almost identical jelly beans in his hand and squinted at them as he realized a small hitch in their brilliant plan.
"Errr," he ventured, "I'm not actually sure if these are the fruit punch ones or not..."

She reached for one jellybean to taste. "Should we taste these ones? Or have it all be a surprise?"

"Should we do others by color as well? Or are we getting ahead of ourselves? Perhaps focusing on the first flavor would be best for now."
They hadn't even started yet, after all.
She glanced at the book on the counter beside them. "We have all the ingredients we need. So we should begin the process."

Graham? Getting ahead of himself? Never. Perish the thought.
"But you're right," he agreed. "We should focus," he put his hands bladed by his eyes and shot them out to emphasize his directed attention nod, "on one at a time! Starting with red. And....probably a small batch at first? To see how it goes and we can adjust accordingly."

This was a highly scientific process, after all.
"So, Sir Knight, are you ready for Red-y or not?"
