Third Floor Common Room, Friday Afternoon
Lydia had considered Liliana's advice of perhaps going to see a film this weekend, and had even gotten as far as doing some research on how that worked and had proceeded to the gates of the school with intent of going to the movie theater.
Then she had gotten a look at what was going on beyond said gates, and some of the things Mr. Rogers had said on the radio that morning made considerably more sense. She had promptly turned around and gone back to the dormitory, where she was attempting to figure out how the television worked as an alternative to the movies. Currently it seemed to be stuck on...she didn't know what. (Curling. It was curling.) Well. It was better than battling giant lizards for access to entertainment, she supposed.
"The future is most strange," she muttered to herself as, resigned to her fate (watching curling), she settled down upon the sofa.
(Open common room is open, especially to anyone who knows how the TV remote works.)

"What have you found to watch, Miss Bennet? Nothing with lizards, I hope."

Weirdly. With brooms and rocks with handles on them. As one does.
"Is this all that's on? Is it one of those days where there's only one thing to be seen on any screen at all?"
That usually only happened in winter with the picture of the fireplace but you never knew around here.
"Or are you enjoying it? It is strangely compelling."

Yule Logs in May weren't really more odd than tiny kaiju though, so...
"What might you like to watch? We could look for something else."
