Second floor common room, Wednesday

Sairis was still slowly learning his way around Earth, or at least around this small section of it. Today there was something on the television that he wasn't sure what to think of.

Other than, "People really dress weirdly here."

He'd just be here drinking his tea and eating some cereal, trying to make sense of it all.

Caleb had gotten some groceries to contribute to the food supply of the common room, and he arrived with said foodstuffs just in time to hear Sairis' comment.

"I don't disagree, but what're you referrin' to at th' moment?"

[sairis]

Sairis waved at the screen, which at the moment was showing a woman in some sort of giant balls.

"What is that all for?"

Caleb did a double take. What in the next holler over is she wearing?

"What...why...maybe t'make folks react just like this, actually." Also was it see through? was she making some ironic statement? "What are you watchin'? Some awards show? I know folks get dudded up for those."

[sairis]

"I'm not sure. I think it said it was a gala of some sort. I've seen some of the fashions back home, and they look a little silly, but this is ridiculous."

So many thoughts rushed through Caleb's mind. Such as all this for a party? and sigh, rich people. But all he managed to say was;

"Wow."

Then after a moment he got to;

"Maybe I'm a rube but this all seems very silly." Granted, the goal of his life was to avoid attention so maybe he was biased.
