Meanwhile, in the second floor common room ...

Yawning, Jubilee shuffles into the common room holding a bag of popcorn and a gigantic bottle of root beer like a pair of beloved teddy bears. Her hair is sticking up funny, and she's wearing a pair of flannel PJs with rubber chickens on them and purple bunny slippers.

She rubs sleepily at her eyes, even though her inability to go to bed is what's led to her being here, and flops down on one of the couches. She sprawls out on the couch, grabbing the remote for the TV. Stuffing a handful of popcorn into her mouth, she flips on the TV, only to turn it on in the middle of a nature special on elephants ... currently, their mating habits.

"... EW."

EDIT: And now we're watching Press Your Luck. Yay for bad '70s game shows!

Kawalsky grins. "Yeah, that was me." He watches the TV, trying to get how the game works. "I think you're right about the guy losing. I'd take the money and the diamond necklace and all that stuff and go. He's too greedy."

"I'm into that, so long as it's not me. Actually, just about everything's funny if it's not me or someone I know. So where ya from?"

"Well, first I was from California and then I was from New York and now I'm from here." Jubilee shrugs. "I moved around when I was a kid, sort of, so, you know, I'm from around. How about you?"

"Born and raised in New York," Charlie answered honestly. After that got a little bit difficult. Seeing as though he was hanging out with the Colorado crowd, he decided to skip big chunks of the classified part of his former life and went to the end. "Moved to Colorado a few years ago. Then somehow I wound up enrolled here. Can't really argue with that, and I got no where else to go, so here's good. Figure it's as good a place as any."
