Vaguely heard through dorm walls Sunday evening

Julian returns from having dutifully turned in his guns as ordered. He calmly walks down the hall and calmly closes the door of 209 behind him.

Muffled swearwords in multiple languages (the most prevalent being English, Russian, and oddly, Irish Gaelic) can be heard for quite some time.

It might be safe to try and cheer him up, given that his guns are gone.

Or it might not.

I quite sympathize. I have not been without a gun since...well, I was young. I named my first one Binky.

*chuckles* I was hoping for a method of flight-testing that would not involve plummeting to earth in a fireball if it proves unsafe. But as I said, I'm happy to leave it to you.

I suppose there are methods that would check to see if it the ship would fly without the mortal peril part, but really, where's the fun in that?
