Being a teenager sucks. Adolescent hormones suck. High school could be worse. And at least we've all got company in the adults-in-kids' bodies thing. How did you do it at first? By yourself?

Ugh, Bad. I wasn't exactly a "people person." Had a few friends I haven't talked to since graduation, except reunions. Got in a lot of fights. Trouble too. Don't miss it much.

How about you? I bet you were one of those Smarter-Than-Everyone straight A student's huh?

I can see that. You're such a smartmouth. Teachers probably hated you for being the class clown, didn't they? And I bet they hated it worse when they couldn't fail you.

And see, you're equating "scientist" with "stick in the mud" again. I got good grades, sure, but you can get good grades and have fun at the same time. I wasn't like Sam or Daniel. I'm guessing they were smarter-than-thou types.

Yeah they did hate me. Especially Plafker. He failed me in History twice. I kept asking about all the good things Hitler did. I son't think he got the joke.

Actually I think Danny said something once about advantages to switching schools... Something tells me he had fun being the new kid. As for Carter? Brain jock. All the way.

See? They're nerds, both of them. You know, I hate to wish this on anybody, but-- I kind of wish Daniel were the same age as the rest of us. Maybe he wouldn't avoid us so much then.

No plague for us. Just--freakish teenagerhood. Which actually feels something like a plague. God, I miss being an adult. And Daniel-- Weren't we all actually close at some point in time? He talks to Beka Valentine more than he does any of us, including me.

And they fail horribly too.

He's said maybe two words to me since getting here, and I had to start the conversation. It's starting to piss me off actually.

I had to approach him too. Did you hear what an ass he was to me? He apologized later, but-- I get the idea the only reason he's avoiding me slightly less is that he feels guilty.

We could lock him in his office and ask him why he's avoiding us.

I sort of-- Marched up to him in the middle of his class and kissed him today. *sheepish grin* I know he's been an ass lately, but the teenage hormones are killing me.
