Sidekick Tryouts, just outside the dorms

Hello there, prospective do-gooders! I am Professor Tick, and my side needs kicking! Err, that is, I need a sidekick. I could always use a hand grading things and running my class, but that's what a TA is for. You'll be helping me with that and assisting me in my other work.

You'll be expected to help me on my patrols [OOC: Patrols are assumed to happen at all hours of the day. If Tick's not around, he's patrolling, coincidentally being in exactly the places where stuff isn't happening. Sidekick is not expected to join him on these patrols, but it would be nice if they scheduled his routes or something. Not that he'd follow that. He goes where Justice leads him.]. You'll get a snazzy costume courtesy of Professor Beeblebrox's class. You'll get a spiffy super name! And you may even get some extra perks if SCIENCE. WILL. JUST. WORK. WITH ME!!!

Anyway, the tryouts will consist of five tests. At the end of the day, a new sidekick will be chosen! Keen!

Good luck to everyone!

Test 1:

Answer the following:

Name:
Super-Name (Not necessary: my sidekick back in The City is named Arthur!):
Special Powers/Abilities (if any):
Battle Cry:
Are You Dedicated to Justice?:

I know all, I see all, I hear all. Also, I bribe Murray with scented candles when necessary.

Dammit. I knew Murray was a weak link, too quiet.

...

Scented?

I got all my best information from Murray.

Oh, yes. Scented. Would you like to know what his favorite scents were?

I'm still positive that he's the one who started all those rumors about me and Daniel, he was always way too quiet.

Yes actually. For future bribery refrence.

He might have been the one to start the rumors.

It might have been someone else.

I might even know the answer.

He likes the very manly floral scents. You know, like lavender and lilac, or hibiscus when I could find it. And the floating candles shaped like little roses.

That's okay, cause I might know who started the fact rumor about you and Carter.

Floating rose candles? I... My brain just refuses to process and has changed the above to: He likes the very manly floral scents. You know, like lavender new car and lilac pine, or hibiscus BBQ when I could find it. And the floating candles beer holders shaped like little roses naked people.

Damn you and your black ops special training. I suppose we could just trade information and call it even. Fact? Hah. There wasn't any hard evidence to be found. Uh, was there?

*dryly* You're absolutely right. Manly. Naked people. New car and barbecue. That's Murray all the way.

Re: I can't believe you talked me into doing this.

[identity profile] 2ls-in-oneill.livejournal.com 2005-09-26 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Me and my black ops special training rule you! You first. Except for the security tapes from the base? No.

You forgot the jello wrestling and the hummus.

I think what really wins out is the fact that you were a Colonel and I was a Major fact that you were very nearly in charge of the place. And personally, I think we should just write the names down on a piece of paper and trade. She told me she'd disabled the camera! You have a copy, don't you.

Hummus is manly? And did he go to watch jello wrestling, or did he participate?

Re: I can't believe you talked me into doing this.

[identity profile] 2ls-in-oneill.livejournal.com 2005-09-26 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
People were just scared of me is all. Fear motivates people not to do stupid things.

Now how do I know you're not just going to write down "Homer Simpson" and run? Of course she didn't and of course I do. Copy'll cost you fourty buck though.

Anything involving eating innards is manly. Maybe it's haggis?

[personal profile] janet_fraiser 2005-09-26 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
You were a scary guy. Still can be when you want to. Now if only there were other, better ways to motivate people not to do stupid things. I think they'd be less fun, though.

How do I know you'll actually tell me the name if I tell you first? She lied to me! How many people know about this one. And how many have copies of the tape.

I was on the damn tape and you want to charge me for it?

Hummus is ground up chickpeas. Not really high on either the macho or the girly scale, really. I think you're thinking of haggis.

*tries not to grimace at the thought of a haggis-scented candle*

It's fun being scary. Very fun.

Because you know where I sleep? I plead the fifth to save myself.

Hey, I'm giving you a discount!

Hummus, haggis, close enough.

[personal profile] janet_fraiser 2005-09-26 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, isn't it? Honestly, you can just look at people and they'll do what you ask. I barely ever have to threaten any more.

Just tell me that it was you in the security room the day the tape was being made and not some random airman. Because one, less embarrassing, and two, kind of hot.

Discount? You owe me a serious take of your profits! And I'm searching the room now.

Sheep innards, chickpeas, same difference?

It's because they've heard the stories.

Oddly enough yes, made $120 that day covering for Chankowitz.

You won't find anything. I know how to hide things better then you!

Hmm. Wonder how that happened.

Wow. I'll remember that day even more fondly now. And I didn't think that was possible. Hope you enjoyed the show.

Stupid black ops training. Not gonna stop me from looking, though.

I think Murray did it.

What's not to enjoy?

Look all you want, you won't find anything I don't want you to though. I hope.

He's not here. Let's blame him for everything.

You guys set me up, didn't you?

We'll just see, now won't we?

Re: I can't believe you talked me into doing this.

[identity profile] 2ls-in-oneill.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly.

Me? Never! It was all Danny's idea, he started it

*Is not worried at all. Except for a little.

So glad we agree.

Liar. And you're all a bunch of pervs.

Which, of course, I adore.

I'm going to make you suffer, Jack. I haven't decided if you'll enjoy it or not.

OOC: What the heck thread are you mostly on tonight anyway? I just got back from belly dance lessons and I want to roleplay.

Re: I can't believe you talked me into doing this.

[identity profile] 2ls-in-oneill.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Am not! Honestly it was! Are you insulting me or complimenting me?

Never mind.

I...am not really sure how to respond to that.

[OOC: I'm not really sure yet, I'm still getting caught up from yesterday, Jack's probably gonna end up wandering over to Beka's Attic Post though, feel free to crash and make Jack's life hell.]

[personal profile] janet_fraiser 2005-09-28 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Are you trying to blame him to save your own neck? Besides, even if it was Daniel's idea, you participated enthusiastically.

Took you long enough to realize, didn't you?

Well, you'd better figure out how to respond to it one of these days before I decide to make you suffer out of subtext. Just so you know.

(OOC: Cool. Because snarking at Methos and Duncan can only go so far.)

Gosh, the two of you in the security room together? And watching Sam and I? Good God, your eyes must have been glazed over when you left the room. So what did you think I meant.

Not that I know if anything happened. Nor would I want to know. Unless you wanted to tell me.
