Second floor common room

Anders stakes out the TV section of the common room and turns on ESPN Classic. He's overjoyed to discover that they're currently running Game 1 of the 1988 World Series, and he's just in time for it to get exciting. Bottom of the sixth with one out: it's Oakland 4, L.A. 2, with Marshall at second and Shelby at first, Scioscia at the plate.

He parks himself in front of the TV and starts doing crunches while he watches. By the time Kirk Gibson comes on to pinch-hit in the bottom of the ninth, he's completely forgotten the crunches. And when Gibson hits Eckersley's pitch into the Dodger Stadium bleachers, he's practically doing backflips with excitement.

It's not that he has any idea who these people are, or cares one way or another about any of the teams. He's just discovered that he really, really likes baseball.

Parker wanders by on her way to the clinic, and, well. She has this toy that O'Neill gave her.

The TV blips out right as Gibson is rounding third, and Anders freezes mid-jump, confused, and falls over.

He lies there for a minute.

"Uh. Ow."

Parker is shaking with suppressed laughter from around the corner of the common room. She goes back down the hall, whistling, and twirling her happy little key chain.

Parker wanders in later with Adama, their arms full of junkfoody goodness. And yes, Parker still has the Evil Toy.

"Anders. Cally. Sheppard? Did you finish the assignment for Speech?"

Lee pulls out some cupcakes and eats it with a mild grimace. "Mmm. Heavy on the sugar."

"It's supposed to be," Parker says, peeling the wrapper away fro one chocolately bit of goodness. She sits cross-legged on the sofa, and studies the TV again. The Evil Toy is within reach.

"So. What's on?"

"Hey Adama!" Anders comes over and pounds him on the back, then slings an arm around Cally's shoulders. (Not that he realizes it, but he kind of blushes when he does.) "Sugar. Share!"

Cameron wanders into the dorm room to find it's pretty busy down there. "Wow, is there a party and no one told me about it?"

"Impromptu cuisine exploration," Parker says, waving a cupcake at him. "Want a ..." She starts giggling, because she's had too much sugar, and asking Cam if he wants a Ho-Ho seems funny at the moment.

Quinn walks in, wearing one of the flowers that she got this morning in her hair, and because she's Quinn, it's not even wilting a little. It thrives on cuteness, apparently. She takes an empty seat and sighs every now and then, reading the card that came with the flowers.
