406: Post-JA meeting

After the JA meeting Angelus went back to his room. He shrugged off his coat, unbuttoned a few more buttons from the top of his shirt, then settled down on his bed to get comfortable.

His notebook was in his lap. He wrote in it, frowning intently. After a while he sat up, leaned over to rummage in a desk drawer, and pulled out a pair of glasses.

He flicked the glasses open, put them on, then sat back against his pillows to resume working.

His frown turned into a smile, as though change of accessories had in any way made a difference to his efforts.

The door was closed, but obviously his roommate or, alternatively, someone Angelus gave a rat's ass about could interrupt him.

Angelus nodded solemnly. "And she's taking my suggestions on what the rules should be, and who should be in each pairing."

Logan blinked, and a slow smile spread across his face. "Damn," he said. "How did you manage that?"

"My theory is that I'm having a very good week."

"I'll say," Logan said. "So, are you going to be a Master? Or a slave?" He grinned.

"Pretty as I'd look in the collar, Master," Angelus said. "People think it's easy but it's not. I want to set an example. Something tells me there aren't going to be many people in this school who can do it right."

Logan nodded. "Yeah, that's probably the safest choice for you."

"There's actually some I'd trust for the sake of the exercise," Angelus said. "Not many but some. You, for instance, but you're not in the class."

"Yeah, well, I'm kind of a minimalist when it comes to classwork. Maybe I should start a 'Junior Underacheivers' club," Logan grinned.

"You could be our sister organization," Angelus grinned back. "Class isn't bad though. It's mostly talking. And the talking's mostly insults. At least how I'm playing it. You could have some fun."

"What, do you get a commission if you get students to sign up?" Logan asked.

"We share no classes," Angelus pointed out. "If you wanted to share one with me, this would be a good one to choose."

Logan shrugged. "I could give it a shot, if it's not too late to join. Though if there turns out to be actual work involved, you and I are going to have words." He shook his finger at Angelus.

"I could make you my Master and you could spank me," Angelus gave him a coy look over the top of his glasses. He held it for half a second then immediately dropped it to go back to his notes. "Alternatively, you can bite me. All I know is what she's done so far. She could be sadist enough to assign a 900 page term paper next week.

"Still, wouldn't hate having you there. Especially now that Bel's gone all emo and is a bitch to talk to"
