406: Post-JA meeting

After the JA meeting Angelus went back to his room. He shrugged off his coat, unbuttoned a few more buttons from the top of his shirt, then settled down on his bed to get comfortable.

His notebook was in his lap. He wrote in it, frowning intently. After a while he sat up, leaned over to rummage in a desk drawer, and pulled out a pair of glasses.

He flicked the glasses open, put them on, then sat back against his pillows to resume working.

His frown turned into a smile, as though change of accessories had in any way made a difference to his efforts.

The door was closed, but obviously his roommate or, alternatively, someone Angelus gave a rat's ass about could interrupt him.

Logan nodded, scratching a few notes on the page. "Okay, so representation is probably not a strong point to argue. What about special needs? Are your needs being accommodated?

"The windows are a nice touch," Angelus acknowledged. "Gotta love the magic of necrotempering. And the caf does keep blood in stock. Not saying I trust it, but then you can't trust any of the other food around here either."

Logan nodded. "One of the many nice things about living off-campus. Much less opportunity for the chef to poison you," he said.

"Sadly more opportunities for me to become a pile of dust," Angelus said. "Otherwise I'd think seriously about those rooms you've got to let."

"True," Logan said. "Hey, there's a thought. Underground tunnels throughout the town." He scratched another note down.

"Wouldn't hate those," Angelus admitted. "Use the sewers now if I have to but - ugh. Thank God for Bel."

"Bel?" Logan asked, confused.

"The guy who came to poker the other night," Angelus reminded him.

"Yeah, I know," Logan said. "What does he have to do with sewers?"

"Oh, he can teleport," Angelus sat up to rummage in his desk for his cigarettes. He held the pack up, silently asking if Logan minded if he smoked. "Makes getting around in the daytime a lot easier for those of us with light allergies."
