Parents Reception: Brunch

A long buffet table has been put together, again with food ranging from the simple to the strange and exotic.

Multiple tables with elegant tablecloths and cutlery have been laid out.

A Juice and Smoothee bar is also available.

Hammond notes her awkwardness and gives a disarming smile. "You can call me George, Miss Sun. Or even 'Uncle George' if it will make you more comfortable."

"Well, thank you," she says. She doesn't say that she's never had an uncle, at least that she knows of, and she's not sure why she would call someone that when he wasn't, but she chalks it up to another one of those human things.

George merely chuckles, eating his breakfast. Even in high school, the kids can't seem to get away from aliens.

"You've just been adopted, I think. Not like I'm related to Jack or Janet, because, wow, that would be strange..." She smiles at Aeryn, suddenly babbling and strangely flustered and she's sure it's not the mention of General O'Neill that did it. Nope..

"On Earth, It happens sometimes if we want to make someone an official part of the family, even if they're not related by blood. Like with Murray."

"He's Jack's...brother. He should be around later. He's not exactly local, either." Hoping Aeryn gets the message, Sam also refrains from rolling her eyes at the inbred mess O'Neill's gotten them into (especially the two of them), but she'll definitely be bringing it up later.

She takes another bite, licking off a bit of cream cheese from her upper lip. "Uh huh."

The general accepts this explanation, but makes a note to meet with the Refugees later to sort out the whole sordid family tree. He's too old for this! He fights a smile, however, at the sound of Carter being...well, Carter.

[OOC: Mun is fighting a migraine, so another post or two, and I'll be down for an hour. Need to let the lappy recharge anyway...]
