Parents Reception: Brunch

A long buffet table has been put together, again with food ranging from the simple to the strange and exotic.

Multiple tables with elegant tablecloths and cutlery have been laid out.

A Juice and Smoothee bar is also available.

Jacob looks at the buffet table thoughtfully. Healthy, exotic or taste-y looking? It was a tough choice. Jake had said he'd meet him here later, but knowing Jake, that probably meant around two o'clock. It was a Saturday after all. But being at the hotel until then would be very boring, so Jacob had decided to explore a little, maybe talk to another parent?

Hmmm. Maybe chicken salad..?

[D'Hoffryn walks in quietly, considering Anyanka and what to do about her. He surveys the room, as a Lord of Arashmahar from Kazahkstan would do as part of normal business. His expression dour, his eyes land on the food spread before him.]

"Yes, I was pondering that myself," Jacob said, smiling to the... possible mutant parent? He wasn't going to draw any conclusions just yet though. "It does look rather tempting. I'm Jacob Gavin. My son goes to school her."

Quentin Travers, Head of the watcher's council, walks into the room and helps himself to an egg-white omelette.

Looking across the room he sees D'Hoffryn. Travers sighs, pulls out a notebook and writes something down and then goes to eat his breakfast.

"How was your night's stay at our local hotel?"

Sometime after her chat with CJ in the park, Widow Twanky swept into the brunch hoping to meet that nice Adama man again.

From across the room, Widow Twank may be hearing somebody whistling a familiar tune (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/221826.html?thread=8044674#t8044674) while he sits next to a familiar blond woman.

Adama walks into the brunch, still sans his son, and immediately hides from the Widow Twanky. If anyone asks, he'll give the excuse of being angry with his son and not being good company.

Travers

Quentin Travers sits down at a table with his brunchfest waiting for Faith to get her ass out of bed to arrive.

Upon the entrance of each new person of interest, he writes something down in his notebook.

Maia glances at the man with the notebook. She smiles at him warmly and looks back down at her plate.

Faith skips into brunch, well rested and dressed in her usual attire. "Morning, sunshine," she mutters as she heads up to Travers. As she gets closer, she says in a normal voice, "You called? I'm here."

Maia sat at the table glancing around, she was waiting on Shawn to change this clothes. She smiled at the people are her. demon_hoffryn caught her offguard a little but she smiled warmly at him.

Shawn looked like he had just gotten into a fight with a fashion designer, or rather his guards who forced him to change into new clothes when he argued. Yawning, he shuffles in between all six guards, he really hates this guys; he spots Maia and frantically waves at her from behind the behemoth guards.

Maia glances back and giggles. She smiles at the guards and waves at them. She hands her purse over winking at Shawn while it is searched.

Colorado Springs

Janet comes in and scans the room for her uncle or her friends. None of them are there, so she goes over to the buffet and prays they have coffee. When she has a plate with some food and her coffee, she takes a seat and watches everyone who's there.

Callisto wanders into the room. "Hey Janet, you mind if I hide from Twanky hang with you guys for a while?"

"Hey," says Janet, sipping her coffee. "So far it's only me, but you're welcome to hide out hang out as long as you want." She holds up her plate. "Bagel?"

Aeryn's not even sure if she's supposed to be here, but John was up to do work for class and she had nothing better to do. And she would want to meet Murray if she knew anything about him.

On his way back from his morning run (http://www.livejournal.com/users/cameronmitchell/24545.html), Cameron passes by the reception. Noticing the buffet, he enters the room and starts stacking a plate with food.

Yawning slightly, Sam walks into the room and glances around, looking for her friends, Hammond, or Teal'c. She's dressed much more casually today in jeans and blue sweater.

And if she's unconsciously looking for her dad, no one knows that but her.

Hammond enters and glances about, seeking out a familiar face. He finds the close-knit group of teens seated together on the opposite side of the room and a slight smile crosses his lips. He then moves to the buffet, ordering a western omlette from the chef at the omlette station, his eyes taking in the spread. Spotting one of his favorite foods -- home fries -- he spoons a pile onto his plate. The omlette is ready in no time, bursting with onions, peppers, steak, and green chiles. He adds to the color (and taste!) by pouring a few spoons of salsa over the entire contents of his plate.

Crossing the room, he takes a seat with the Refugees. "Good morning, ladies, gentlemen," he says with a smile.

Chewbacca comes in, his translator strapped to his arm, looking very tired. If he was human, there would be lines all over his face and a few grey hairs.

He loads up on fresh fruit and gets a two-liter juice smoothee.

Sir Myles entered the room and glanced around, trying to spot either of his charges. Failing to do that he sat down and began to work on breakfast.
