JA Meet & Greet

Dr. Carter's classroom is tastefully decorated with white tablecloths and rose centerpieces. Food and drink are available for those who want it, the items ranging from some food from Deb's (brownies and lemon bars, bleu cheese pear puffs and shrimp spread on triscuits) to more vampire/demon friendly food from NPCed places that thoughtfully deliver.

A large sign outside of the door says "JA Meet & Greet: All are welcome"

Angelus is in the room dressed in a black suit, black shirt, no tie. His good mood, if anything, has only gotten more persistant.

"How's the weekend treating you, John?" Angelus asked.

"Not too bad. I covered for Marty for a few at the Meet N Greet table. I hope someone's keeping tabs on who's here. I'd hate to have to track someone down, or kick any freeloaders come Monday."

"Ah. My bad. Seems like I'm dropping back into bad habits of nicknames and abbreviations. And I guess I've been out of the loop, but what happened with this gas? At the bar in town, you say?"

"Bad habits can be fun. Like getting drunk on school nights. But calling Angelus Angel mightn't be. Then again, who knows with him? It might amuse him. He's strange that way." A wry shrug, then she considered the actual question. "I wasn't there, so I've only heard the scuttlebut. Some kind of gas got released at Spike's Pub. No one was hurt seriously but a bunch of people ran around seeing their worst fears for a few hours. I guess it was a pretty horrible experience for them."

"So who released this gas? Doesn't sound like a natural thing, not like a skunk emitted a terror spray. Does my mom know about this?"

"And I agree with you that drinking on a school night is very bad. Fun or not, very bad."

Beka hadn't given much thought to the culprit, but there were probably a handful of people JA alone who might find it an amusing prank. She decided to keep that thought to herself. "Agreed it's not natural. But I really have no idea who did it. Probably. She knows everything.

"So, out of curiosity, is that bad as in, we should definitely get some people together and do it at the earliest possibility? Or bad as in 'no, seriously, I don't drink on school nights'?"

Obi-Wan walked into the classroom and spots the tall young man he guesses is Angelus, from Anakin's description.

"Angelus? Anakin's still swamped at the bake sale, but he said I should come by and introduce myself. I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi, his guardian."

"Pleasure to meet you, sir," Angelus holds his hand out to shake. His demeanor is professional, some might even call it respectable. "It's been an honor having your ward with our group. You must be very proud of him."

Obi-Wan is entertained by the young man's ultra-professional demeanor. He shakes his hand gladly -- but as their hands touch, he falters for a mere second before recovering. There is something very strange about the Force in this one.

"I am proud, he's been doing well, I hear. And I'm pleased to see he's making such fine friends."

Jonathan pops in and looks around, he isn't sure if he'd be better suited manning the bake sale or helping his fellow JA members out of uncomfortable situations.
