JA Bake Sale

Anakin sat behind a table groaning under the weight of totally innocent--really, would the JA steer you wrong?--baked goods.

Hanging from the table was a sign:

JA BAKE SALE: ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO SOME SORT OF CHARITY ~~AS FAR AS YOU KNOW~~

Donations from JA members:
Chocolate chip walnut cookies made by Faith
Brownies made by Draco (and Lily)
Tatooine sand cookies made by Anakin (no actually sand included)
Chocolate chip cookies made by Lindsey
Rice Krispie treats made by Jonathan

Donations from non-JA members:
Snickerdoodles made by Veronica Mars, Piper, Shep and Lisa Cuddy

Anakin stared. And stared.

"They're really not," he hastened to assure the beings around the table.

He left the bake sale for a moment, and approached Marty. "Marty, what the hell is your problem?" he hissed.

Marty drops the bat and the gremlin carcass and grabs Anakin by HIS robes and starts to shake him.

"ZOMG!!! GIANT PANDAS IN THE SKY!!! BAKED GOODS!!! DIABETIC COMA!!!"

He stops for second and looks behind Anakin with a look of total fear. He starts pointing to the entrance where... well there's nothing there.

"STOP THEM! STOP THE BUNNIES! THE PINK ONES! THE HARVEY'S! THE EASTER! tHE PETER COTTONTAILS! STOP THE BUNNNIIIIEEEEESSSSS!

Marty's cries have caused chaos (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/223279.html?thread=8134703#t8134703) for the JA sale

Anakin looked over his shoulder, just to be sure that they're weren't really bunnies--in this school, you can never be too careful--and then turned back to Marty.

He concentrated hard, waved his hand. "You've had a long day and you need to go to sleep now, Marty. We'll go for a little trip to the clinic where the bunnies can't find you."

He wondered if Jedi Force training could have any effect on someone under the influence of...a possible gremlin attack.

Marty suddenly calms down.

"I've had a long day and I need to go to sleep now, Marty. Can we go for a little trip to the clinic where the bunnies can't find me?" he says in a droning voice.

He then collapses on top of Anakin.

Anakin let out a stream of curses. That worked a little too well.

Across the room, the pastries continued to float.

*watches for a moment, puzzled*

Would you like some help?

Anakin hefted Marty into a more comfortable position and gave the stranger a look of gratitude.

"If you wouldn't mind," he said. "Could you flip the table back up for me? I've kind of got my hands full at the moment."

*sets the table back up, and wipes the top clean with a hanky from his pocket*

There, all nice and ready for you. And may I say, that's a pretty neat trick you've got going, there. *smiles*

Anakin let the baked goods tumble down onto the table in relatively neat piles.

"Thanks," he said. "It comes in handy occassionally." He snorted. "Though not normally in the rescue of cookies."

I wouldn't sell that short. Rescuing cookies could be a matter of life or death. Every action has its reaction, and all that.

May I ask the name of such a valiant baked goods defender?

"Anakin Skywalker," he replied, making a face as Marty nuzzled his neck.

"And we need the money for our club," he replied. "I think. Angelus said that the bake sale was important, at any rate."

Well, a noble effort all around then, Anakin.

Glad to meet your acquaintance.

Oh, I'm the Doctor, by the way. *he nods, smiling*

Marty starts to get "Roaming hands" and moans a little.

And it's into this scene that Obi-Wan walks. He stares at his Marty-covered Padawan, the tumbled pastries, and the general chaos.

"And you were worried about me going off on my own. I really can't leave you alone, can I?"

[OOC: If this doesn't throw Anakin to the dark side... ]

[ooc: Dark Side by humiliation -- who'd'a thunk? Bet Jedi training doesn't really cover that too much.]

ooc: he takes the route to evil via pastries and a sumbering ex-hit man....it's a block-buster plot for sure!

Anakin rolled his eyes. "I don't do this on purpose, Master," he replied, smacking at Marty's hands. "He was behaving erratically, and I had to calm him down."

"He's also very heavy. Could you help me hold him up?"

Marty starts playing with Anakin's rattail. "Kajagoogoo" he mumbles.

"Thanks!" he called.
