Room #142, PW Refuge, Sunday morning

Tara is making a big batch of pancake batter (with blueberries), which she gradually turns into alphabet pancakes.

A bouquet of origami flowers from her entirely non-played efforts the previous day sit in the middle of the table eventually to become her bridal bouquet when The Tick finally sets the date.

As a result of Maia's question of whether she could keep her playdough creations, the playdough has been replaced by Femo, set out along with glue, and brooch and earring backings.

[ooc: I never know what it commonly recognised in the US and what is not. Femo is like playdough, if a little stiffer to work with, but can be baked solid afterwards. Brilliant for constructing beads, making jewelry, or - if you actually have artistic talent - sculpting cunning little animals. *nodnod*

Note: Tara is making beads representing each person that comes in, which will eventually become a necklace for herself. She's drawing inspiration from their auras. This is not particularly analytical, and relates more to extremely obvious personality traits, but please let me know if you'd rather she didn't, okay?]

Maia happily sat with her heart cookie cutter and the FEMO dough at the table, she was careful to keep it on the newspaper so it would not stick to the table top. She hummed a little tune as she pressed the cookie cutter down into the dough. "So I can tear this up to and its sticks back together as well?"

Maia seemed to glow from excitment at the new idea and grabbed some red to shove into her heart shape. "You have this because your magical huh? Lana said 'funny putty' is magical do you have that do?" Maia carefully stares at her color combinations. "I didn't know they had magical toys for people like this." Maia is positivly glowing with by the endless possibilities of being able to destroy something then place it back together like this.

Maia blushed slightly at her mistake and then smiled. "Yeah the silly putty sounds neat you can put it on pictures and stretch them she said." Maia looked back down at her now pink colored heart, she added a little bit of blue to make it a nice shade of purple. "This stuff is cool. I'm glad its not just for magical people." She smiled at Tara. "I think I'll have to get some for my room, for when I want to make stuff." Maia worked more blue in to cause a deeper shade of purple. "Its like paint when you mix the colors." Maia said to herself she was simply fascinated by this. "I've never seen this kinda stuff before." Maia seemed lost in her own world while she played with the dough for a few minutes.

Maia looked over at Chi. "Hi" She said smiling brightly. She patted her dough to make it flat before she did a cookie cutter to it. "Have you ever seen this stuff before? Watch." Maia proceeded to demonstrate tearing off a piece and sticking it back together. "Its like magic and no matter how many times you do it, it will always stick back together." Maia grinned triumphant over the dough. "Want to try?"

Maia smiles "Yep I'm Maia. You remembered." Maia leaned over. "I thought it was magic too but Tara said it was just cool." Maia grinned and pushed some more towards Chi. "When its all done, you can bake it in the oven and gets hard just like glass or something." Maia smiled as she worked to make another bead, this time she made a tiny heart and poked a hole in it. Maia leaned toward Chi and said softly "I think it is magical though, not just cool." She said leaning back.

((I have 2 Femo pigs, mine sucks, but my sisters was good :D))

((I made FEMO ornaments two years ago, gingerbread men and christmas trees, they are flat like cookies and look like cookies because of how we painted them. They rocked YAY for FEMO, ruined the coffee table but it was fun. *grins*))

Paige walks in and looks around "has anyone seen Sawyer? I thought he might be in here" she notices all the play stuff "although maybe not actually."

Paige nods "he's got a strong southern accent and well he's real cute, so yeah if you see someone fitting that description that'd be great. So erm whatcha doing?"

She sighs a little "oh right I guess I'd better go I mean my Grams is somewhere about so strictly speaking I guess I have a family now."

((Femo is available here in the US, fear not.))

Smelling the pancakes from down the hall, Krycek decided to follow the trail to see who else was up early in the morning. He pokes his head in the door, not sure whose rooms these are, slightly wary as well as willing to be distracted.

"Sorry?" He looks at Tara, blinking once. "Oh. Rounds are fine. Are 'funny shapes' just anything that don't turn out round?" Krycek steps into the room a little hesitantly, but still curious. And hungry. He'd left the Echolls house early enough to completely miss Jacob sr, so he'd been gone very early indeed.

Bemused, Krycek does so, realizing whose rooms he's walked into. "The Ethics professor, right? I'm Alex Krycek." He leans back in his chair, stomach complaining vaguely at the smell of cooking pancakes, though he doesn't say anything about it. "I think rounds, still. And thank you."
