Tara is making a big batch of pancake batter (with blueberries), which she gradually turns into alphabet pancakes.

A bouquet of origami flowers from her entirely non-played efforts the previous day sit in the middle of the table eventually to become her bridal bouquet when The Tick finally sets the date.

As a result of Maia's question of whether she could keep her playdough creations, the playdough has been replaced by Femo, set out along with glue, and brooch and earring backings.

[ooc: I never know what it commonly recognised in the US and what is not. Femo is like playdough, if a little stiffer to work with, but can be baked solid afterwards. Brilliant for constructing beads, making jewelry, or - if you actually have artistic talent - sculpting cunning little animals. *nodnod*

Note: Tara is making beads representing each person that comes in, which will eventually become a necklace for herself. She's drawing inspiration from their auras. This is not particularly analytical, and relates more to extremely obvious personality traits, but please let me know if you'd rather she didn't, okay?]

Maia coughs and stops laughing when she sees Paige looking worried. "Oh no sweetie I think a purple pig is just fine." Maia nodded fighting to keep a straight face. "Just you know give it a curly tail and some chin whiskers and you'll be all set." Maia gives up fighting the laughing and starts to silently shake. She was in a wonderful mood and Paige's pig was the icing on the cake.

"It's not meant to be realistic you know! I mean he's a poet stuff doesn't have to appear as you'd expect! It's like symbolic or something!"

She shakes her head laughing "I think I might make the head blue actually!"

Maia looks serious at Paige for a moment and then collapses into a fit of giggles. "What is it symbolic of? A male chauvinistic pig?" Maia is now laughing uncontrollably.

Paige looks at Maia seriously worried "Oh my God no! That's not it at all, what if he thinks it is? Do you think I could change it into a cat?"

Maia bit her lip for a moment. "I don't know I don't think he will just um, well don't tell him its a symbol." Maia is serious now. "I don't know if he knows what that is but I mean if someone else sees it and he says 'Paige made it, its symbolic' they will maybe think that and tell him and well he might get upset thinking you were taking the mickey out on him and he didn't know it. you know..." Maia trailed off. "You could maybe make it into a piggy bank. Tell him to save for Las Vegas." Maia smiled brightly now remember her and Geoff's conversation of their get rich and stay that way when she hit 21 and they hit Vegas together.

"Maybe I didn't mean symbolic, I'll go with the whole abstact idea I think and if he hates it, he hates it. I should probably remember to stick with bought presents from now on though."

Maia worries that she has hurt Paige's feelings. "No Paige I am sorry. I'm sorry sweetie. Its a great idea and its something that you've made and that makes it special." Maia smiled softly

"It's ok Maia I'm just frightened I'll upset him, I'm a little paranoid about it. I mean with James we kinda enjoy winding each other up, so I don't worry so much"

Maia looked at the pig again. "I think he's sweet. You can name him Henry." Maia smiled at the little pig and patted it. "Are you going to make his tail a different color then his body and his head?"

Paige nods "yeah any suggestions?"

Maia glanced down at the colors. "I think green would be nice. I was going to go with blue but well his head is blue so it would look kinda strange." Maia pauses "Well stranger anyway." She smiled quickly.

Paige grins "I think green would look good with the purple and blue, Geoff's gonna think he's taken some bad acid or something isn't he?"

Maia giggles "Opium I think is the drug of choice for his day possibly." Maia smiles at Paige. I think he will like it just fine.

Paige smiles "well by the looks of it it'll at least give him a laugh!"
