[Wednesday Morning: Locked to [livejournal.com profile] krycek_rat and <user site="livejo

Krycek stepped out of the Dean's office, sighing as he realized they hadn't accomplished much and the frogs would still be in their dorms until such time as an exterminator might show up. "That was a waste of time," he grumbled, making sure the door was shut behind D'anna before he spoke.

D'anna yelped as she narrowly avoided one of the smaller frogs that seemed determined to get underfoot. "Ewww, I don't even want to think about it." Frog sex? Just... no. "Wouldn't it take longer than a month for them to get this big?"

The door was an older wooden panel door. It was missing its bottom third, either due to normal rot or frog abuse - it was impossible to tell. Frogs hopped and crawled over each other as they all tried to get into the room at the same time.

D'anna quietly snorted, "According to the Dean, nothing is normal here." Walking through the slim path Krycek had cleared before her, she totally doesn't check out his backside as he crouches, really, not at all she raised an eye brow, "Maybe they've been eating in the cafeteria? See anything?"

"And this isn't already messy? Please." D'anna joined him and slid her hands down the door. The top was pretty solid but the bottom was rotting on the hinges. "Maybe if you give it a good hard kick or two? We might be able to duck under?"

The frogs didn't do much to move out of the way until Krycek kicked at the door. They did hop out of the way then and, at the noise from the kick, the sound of frog song from inside the room fell silent.

The bottom panel cracked on Krycek's first kick. It gave way completely on his second.

The frogs were more than happy to take advantage of the larger opening. As soon as the pieces fell out of the door, they all moved toward it en masse.

"What the frak?!" D'anna yelped as they were swamped by stampeding frogs. Ew. Ewwww. EWWWWW! She moved back in front of the door with the sea of frogs. Crouching down a little, she slipped a hand under the partial destroyed door and felt around for the door handle. When she finally grasped it, she played her fingers over it's slimy surface until it finally came unlocked.

She made a face as she stood back up and wiped her hand on her jeans. Then turning the doorknob, she pushed open the door, "Shall we?"

D'anna rolled her eyes and followed him in. It wasn't her fault he made a good frog shield.

The room beyond the door was big and dark and humid. The light spilling in from the hallway showed that the room wasn't empty though. Two large boilers blocked the view of anything beyond them. And frogs. Lots of frogs.

The frog song started up shortly after the door opened. Beginning at the far end of the room, it progressed back toward Krycek and D'anna.

"Wall to wall frogs, just what I've always wanted." D'anna muttered as they moved further into the room.

It is now obvious that this is a machine/boiler room. The walls are lined with large machinery of various types and several boilers stand in a line running down the center of the room. Pipes dominate the higher spaces of the room.

Frogs sit on every available surface. It is impossible to distinguish the frogs they followed into the room, but there is an obvious "highway" moving through the room. It winds left around the line of boilers.
