[Wednesday Morning: Locked to [livejournal.com profile] krycek_rat and <user site="livejo

Krycek stepped out of the Dean's office, sighing as he realized they hadn't accomplished much and the frogs would still be in their dorms until such time as an exterminator might show up. "That was a waste of time," he grumbled, making sure the door was shut behind D'anna before he spoke.

Frustrated and absolutely dreading spending a night sharing her room with frogs of the four legged variety, D'anna followed Krycek out of the dean's office,"absolutely, bloody pointless."

Several frogs hop past D'anna and Krycek. After splitting up to detour around the two students, the frogs return to hopping down the hallway in a line as if they have a specific destination in mind.

D'anna may have given a little surprised screech when she noticed the little buggers going past, but she wasn't going to be admitting that any time soon. Her eyes narrow as she watched them hop down the hall and she crossed her arms. She shuddered, "creepy little bastards."

"So we'll just follow them and see where they lead?" She wasn't thrilled at the thought but Krycek was on to something.

The frogs reached the end of the hallway and turned the corner, still all hopping in a line.

Against her better judgment, against her common sense and against her desire to stay as far away from the little green buggers as possible, D'anna nodded her consent and followed him.

As they progressed down the hallway, the number of frogs increased. The majority were just sitting, but others turned to join the determined frogs as they passed. The sound of croaking increased.

The frogs eventually reached the ends of the hallway and turned left down a cross passage.

"That might explain why they were in our closets and the journalism classroom," D'anna replied, carefully picking her way along just a little way behind Krycek.

As they came around the corner, Krycek and D'anna could see a mass of frogs collected outside a doorway about thirty feet down the hallway. The determined frogs and hangers on, plus many others coming down the hallway from the other direction, all converged on the same place. Aside from the frogs that were just sitting still, they were obviously all headed into the room.

D'anna yelped as she narrowly avoided one of the smaller frogs that seemed determined to get underfoot. "Ewww, I don't even want to think about it." Frog sex? Just... no. "Wouldn't it take longer than a month for them to get this big?"

[identity profile] fh-anonymous.livejournal.com 2005-11-10 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
The door was an older wooden panel door. It was missing its bottom third, either due to normal rot or frog abuse - it was impossible to tell. Frogs hopped and crawled over each other as they all tried to get into the room at the same time.

The room was too damn hot in D'anna opinion. She didn't care what it did - all she cared about was now she was way overdressed and she felt it. "I doubt," D'anna laboured with the trick of taking her jacket off and stuffing it into her rucksack without touching the frogs with either, "that it was for our benefit."

Once she finished fooling with her belongings, she looked up and down the room and sighed. In for a cubit... She began to move to the left, "might as well go with the follow then."

[identity profile] fh-anonymous.livejournal.com 2005-11-15 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
As Krycek and D'anna moved through the room, the frogs started jumping around to escape being stepped on. The jumping excited other frogs which started jumping also. It was more like walking through a shower of frogs than wading through a field of them.

[identity profile] dbiers.livejournal.com 2005-11-15 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
"No shit!" One one hand, D'anna regretted that the jacket she could have held over her head was now tucked uselessly way. On the other hand, she was glad not be burning up. On the other hand again, omg wtf it's raining frogs and we aren't even in Egypt! "Can you see where the frak they'r-- we're going?"

[identity profile] dbiers.livejournal.com 2005-11-15 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
D'anna, of course, yelped and cursed (a lot) as they made their way slowly through the room. She'd didn't really care that they weren't stepping on frogs... Ok, so she did care because ew, gross, frog guts on her shoes weren't something she was fond of, but there were more important things right now like keeping them out of her pockets - ears - hair - whatever. Just get to the door. Just get to the door. Just get... She batted at those who hopped too high and too close, but kept moving forward - getting closer to the next door with each step.

As much as there were frogs jumping every which way, the frogs on the "highway" kept moving toward the far door.

As they got closer, Krycek could see that the door was similar to the one through which they'd entered. The only difference was that this one looked sturdier and the hole through which the frogs were crawling was just a small break by the hinge.
