Alanna was walking around in circles, sometimes staring out a window and scowling. The TV was turned on to mute and seemed to be playing an infomercial. Every few minutes, Alanna would stop her pacing, sit down, and try to watch the television. A few seconds later, she would jump up and start pacing, again.

After returning from watching the hockey practise, Elizabeth wandered into the common room.

"Hey, Alanna," she says, frowning slightly. "You okay?"

"Elizabeth! Hey! Yeah, um, more or less. How are you?"

"My hands are cold," Elizabeth remarks very matter of factly. "But other than that, I'm good. What's with the pacing?"

Alanna shivered. "First rain of the year." She paused for a second. "I hate the rain. I hate the cold. I hate snow." A black pillow lifted up its head and nodded.

"I can't say that I'm all that fond of the rain," Elizabeth remarked, shivering slightly as she thought back to one particular storm. "Snow's not too bad... but after a few days I realize that I like it better in theory."

"It's the cold that I hate, really. A lot." She shivered.

Marty walks into the room and waves at Alanna and lizzie Elizabeth.

"Hey guys. Anything on TV tonight?"

"Hey, Marty," Elizabeth smiles at him. "Don't ask me; I've only just got in here."

She drops down on the couch.

Marty takes the remote and switches the TV to another channel.

"Anything in particular you are looking for?"

Elizabeth waves her hand. "Not really. I've absolutely no idea what's on at this time. I just thought I'd head along to the common room and be sociable, instead of holing up in my room reading."

Marty flips on the 70's show. "Ahhh... Mindless entertainment."

Alanna shook her head and muttered darkly. "Thunderstorm."

"Thunderstorm? Alanna? I know you and I need to talk about... you know... but is something else bugging you?"

Alanna shook her head. "You mean aside from that? No, well, yeah, but I don't think you can do anything about the bloody cold. And wetness. Can we talk now?"

Marty nods. "I guess I have a lot of explaining to do. I think you probably know most of it by now right?"

Angela collapses on the couch next to Marty and watches his conversation with Alanna.

They can talk when he's done with them.

Alanna nodded at Angela. Faithful finally woke up fully and padded over to where the girl was sitting. "Meow?"

Angela reaches down. "Hey," she says, remembering that Faithful talks. "How are you?"

"Mrowwwrrr." Faithful jumped up on Angela's lap. "As well as can be expected when she can't get me any fish. Yourself?"

"Hey you. How'd the rest of your day go?"

"Pretty good, I talked to Veronica and Chloe in newspaper and totally haven't even read had Creative Writing." She looks at him, concerned. "You?"

"Went to Art and Grissom's class and then Phale's of course." Marty says stretching out. "And then some lovely TV."

"So now? I'm thinking it's time for a vege out session."

"Hey," Angela says. "What are we watching?"

"Some mindless entertainment that I've actually never seen before," Elizabeth grins.
