Gym, evening

After what felt like a far too long day of doing many things that Angel wished that he hadn't - such as get out of bed and actually interact with people, just to pick a random example - Angel decided to head down to the gym.

His left hand was finally healed, or as healed as it was going to be, which meant that he could attack the heavybag with as much force as it could take.

Anyone watching him might be surprised to notice that after a while there was no sign of Angel's usual hesitations, slouching, or stumbling. He moved like a dancer - an actual dancer - with every muscle doing exactly what he wanted it to.

They also might be taken aback by the vehemence of his kicks and punches.

Sublimation? What's that?

"Which would be... bad." Angel's gaze flickered up to Callisto for a moment.

"Very bad." Callisto met Angels gaze for all of five milliseconds before finding the wall to be absolutely fascinating. "More so when you're usually good at duets."

Angel gave Callisto a long look. He cleared his throat, still clutching the heavybag in front of him. "Shame I'm not really musical."

"Yeah," Callisto looked quizzically at the heavybag, as if just realising how Angel was holding it. "Shame, that."

"Not, you know, for lack of wanting to be," Angel said.

"Well, you don't have to sing to be musical, you can always learn an instrument." Callisto offered.

"Yeah but using some kind of tool instead isn't exactly the same. Though it can be fun in it's own way."

"True enough, expecting a tool to substitute for the real thing can lead to disapointment."

"It's like spices," Angel said. "Good for adding some heat, but it can't be the main attraction."
