Friday afternoon in the West Attic
Lana happily putters about in her room, cleaning and setting out some of her morning purchases. The new Ren-Faire dress is hanging by the closet door and the roses are on the desk by the window. She may be humming under her breath - or even not so under her breath at times.
She's in her room, but has the door to the common room open.

She hears the humming and sticks her head into Lana's room.
"You sound happy!" she says smiling

"Oh, that's right I'd forgotten you and Sawyer were going with Maia. I wish I could join you, but I need to go home, you know?"
no subject
"Yeah I can see how you'd want to go home, Piper said I'd be invited back with them, but I dunno it just feels a bit weird. I'm gonna try to get there for a day though, meet Prue."
no subject
Lana glances around the room and nods happily at what she's accomplished. "It will be good for you to get to meet your other sister. Me, I'm looking forward to seeing Nell and the Kents again. And my horse. I can't believe I haven't had time to really ride him since I came here."
no subject
"Thanks Lana, I guess maybe when when I've fixed it a little."
"It sounds like you'll have a good time back time, back to normality for a while."
She gestures towards the dress hanging up, "going somewhere special?"
no subject
She looks over at the dress. "What? Oh! No, no, someone gave me that as a Secret Santa present today. Said they were there when mine got ruined during the Faire - remember when Shep got hurt?" She blushes a little at Shep's name.
no subject
She notices the blush, she doesn't get it so much know, but she used to. "So you're not just friends now then right?"
no subject
She takes a deep breath and starts again. "He's pretty special and we've gotten to be... close."

She thinks about Shep and some of the things... - and blushes even more.

She bites her lip. Does asking him to go caroling and making *special* plans for afterwards count as a date? And just how much does she want to say? "Well, I asked him to come caroling tonight, but I don't know that that counts."
She smiles at Paige, "You and Sawyer haven't talked about that yet? And how long have you been together?"
no subject
She considers what Lana's said about the caroling, "well it's leave the campus as I'd count it," it was more than her and Sawyer ever did.
With a shrug Paige continues, "It's something we've not really had to talk about, it was just understood, although I guess the conversation we had about not being in an open relationship anymore counts right? And we've been together two months, on Christmas Day actually!" she smiles widely
no subject
She smiles at Paige. "I think the fact that you've acknowledged that you're in an exclusive relationship would be a pretty telling point. And wow, almost two months! That's great!"
no subject
"Shep seems pretty cool," she tells her, Paige was really happy Lana had a new, whatever he was, after what happened with Justin.
no subject
"And Shep... yeah, he's really great," Lana says, her face getting dreamy.

"Yeah that's the good thing about teenage boys, easy to talk round!" she smirks

She bites her lip, "actually I should go try to get some work done, then I'll be able to enjoy tonight more. I'll catch you both tonight?"

"Hey, doll. How you doing?"

"I'm doing okay. Finals ate me alive. Missed you too, pretty girl."
no subject
She wrinkles her nose at the mention on finals. "What with all the disappearing professors, I ended up with only two. Bio, which went okay, and Archaeology next week which should be easy."

He smiles and shakes his head. "You never listen to the radio." He takes off his jacket and starts rolling up one sleeve. "I'm a little sore. New tattoos hurt."
no subject
She looks curiously at his arms as he rolls up the sleeves. "Tattoos?"
no subject
"You like 'em?"
no subject
no subject
He rolls down his sleeves. "You want to come out to the bonfire next week? Keep it quiet but it's kind of a good-bye party." He offers her a flier.
no subject
She kisses him gently, wanting to chase away the look in his eyes. "Of course I'll come. Shep, too, if I have to drag him there." She blushes a little when she says his name.
no subject
"Listen, I mean what I say. We're gonna get together after the break, I promise. If Shep's good with it, or if he'd like to join us. But right now, the last few days are just for Bagoas."
no subject
She's still not quite sure just what she wants to do about his offer, but God it's tempting. She smiles at him ruefully. "I wish there was something I could do to make this easier on you."
no subject
"I gotta get the rest of these up. Chewie and Bagoas are dragging me out on the caroling thing tonight. Not my faith or holiday, I don't know any of the songs, but who cares. It's more about being out and around."
no subject
"Shep and I will be out tonight, too, so we'll see you there, okay?" She hesitates. "And... it's not just about the faith or the holiday or even being out. It's about connecting and sharing with others, being a part of something bigger than you are..."
She blushes again. "Anyway, that's just me. I'll see you tonight though."
no subject
He puts his jacket back on and heads out to finish hanging fliers.
