Christmas, Cally Style. (Second Floor Common Room, Late Afternoon)

Cally, a large sack over her shoulder, plops down onto a couch in the common room. She sets down the tray of cupcakes, for those folks she doesn't have gifts for, and waits happily for folks to wander by. She's really thankful for the internet right now. She's also hoping that her emergency money won't actually be needed for any emergencies for the next... few months.

"Hey Cally, I...Oooooh!" Vala said wandering into the common room and admiring the book Cally was holding. Tipping her head to the side to see it better, Vala added: "Cool!"

Cally looks at Vala, looks at the book, looks at Anders, then back at the book, thne at Rory, back to the book... etcetera etcetera. She finally just hops up, sets the book underneath her, and sits on it.

"Erm, hi Vala." She says, blushing. "Erm... I have something for you. Let me just grab it quick." And then she reaches into the sack, desperately making sure that her butt doesn't move the slightest inch, hiding the book as best as she possibly can. She finally retrieves a black and orange wrapped package with silver ribbon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000CDNZ8E/sr=1-23/qid=1135026918/ref=sr_1_23/103-2533248-9003068?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance). "This is for you." She says, trying to ignore the scary, scary book she is sitting on.

Vala isn't snickering. Too much.

"And I have this for you!" "Ooooh, it's, erm. Heavy. Very heavy. Nice and heavy and nothing to do with sex, yay! At least, I hope it has... erm... I'm gonna unwrap this now." Cally does so, and is very, very relieved that it appears to have nothing to do with sex. But suddenly the term 'Gimble Sex' pops into her brain, and she boggles for a moment. "Thanks!" She springs up to hug Vala, then realizes that exposes the book, and bites her lip, embarassed again.

"Oooh! It comes with its own coins!" Vala grinned, pulling out her tunic. "It's perfect, Cally! Thanks!"

She only smirks over Cally's shoulder where Cally can't see her while trying to make note of the author...

"And thank you! Spaceships and books! Like, my two favorite things." Cally then actually hugs Vala quickly Because everyone else has gotten hugs, and everyone needs a hug, omg. "Merry Christmas. Happy Chanooka. And that other one, Kazoo, or something. Happy that too."

"You too," Vala enthuses, returning the hug. "Have fun with your... reading." She can't help grinning as she leaves.
