Room 412: Overdue Library Book

Janet waited outside Belthazor's room for Zero to join her.

He'd had a book out since October 3rd. Seventy-nine days. It was past time to get that book back.

And since the book was from Special Collections? The fine was going to be pretty damn expensive.

Janet smiled. Being a library assistant could be such a fun job sometimes.

"Bel, Bel, Bel," Callisto rolled her eyes. "What makes you think a lapdance was all I gave Angel?"

Again, not that she'd actually done that, but it was "wind up the emodemon" time.

Bel nodded gravely. "Sex with Callisto does not equal a moment of true happiness. Check."

"Well, I for one was never dumb enough to equate perfect happiness and sex to begin with," Callisto examined her nails. "Pleasure? Yes. Fun? Yes. Great workout? Yes. Pefect happiness? Please."

"Hardly limited, sweetheart," Bel said, blinking again at the flash. At least his glare was sexy. "Go talk to Phoebe if you want to know the truth."

"Did I mention that I'm getting her a copy of Women Who Love Too Much for Christmas? Or hey. I could just leave it with you. I'm sure you'd get something out of it."

"Awww, thanks, you shouldn't have," Bel said. "I thought about picking up Psycho Bitches with Control Issues for you, but I didn't think we were at the gift-giving level of our relationship yet."

"Thanks, I have an autographed author's copy. First edition. And sure we are. Unless you *aren't* the person who left the lovely 'gag' gift outside my door?" Parker added with a glare.

"Caption: Liar Guy. Whatever. I'll be sure to give it to Phoebe, see what she thinks of it."

"Go ahead," Bel said with a shrug. "Like she'll be happy to know her friend is merrily taking pictures of her half-naked boyfriend. That'll go over well with the friendship. So be my guest -- it would make me so very very happy if she had nothing to do with you."

"Likewise and vice versa. And do you *actually* think she'd blame me for this? Please." Parker took another photo. This time she made sure to get Callisto in the shot. "You're so delusional. I was just wondering if she'd get a premonition-thing off the box, to tell me who sent me my little anonymous gift. If it wasn't you, I'd like to know who it was," she said, shrugging.
