Christmas Eve, Second Floor Common Room

Sam sat in the common room, idly flipping through channels. No specials were on, and there was only so long she could watch the Yule log. She sipped occasionally from a glass of red wine.

She was trying very, very hard not to think of her father.

Aeryn shakes her head. "Neither am I. Which concerns me in itself..."

"I don't think we need to worry too much." She glanced over at the purple frog. "I mean, as long as we're both still verbal, we're fine, right?"

"If I wake up as some sort of animal tomorrow, I'm blaming you."

"Me???" Sam started laughing. "I have yet to turn anyone into an animal."

"I haven't seen evidence of this," she says.

Sam raised her right hand. "I solemnly swear I have never turned anyone into an animal." She couldn't believe she just said that.

Aeryn shakes her head. "Yes, the conversations are definitely worrying me."
