Christmas Eve, Second Floor Common Room

Sam sat in the common room, idly flipping through channels. No specials were on, and there was only so long she could watch the Yule log. She sipped occasionally from a glass of red wine.

She was trying very, very hard not to think of her father.

Kara pours him a glass of ambrosia. "Here, have a drink. Rumour has it you're an entertaining drunk."

John takes the drink and sips it. "Rumor? It's a vicious lie. I'm merely an amusing drunk."

Kara grins at him. "Something about stripping naked and dancing around?"

"Oh, that." John shrugs and smirks. "Now, tell me honestly, haven't we all stripped naked and danced at one point or another?"

Kara leers at John and says, "Wouldn't you like to know?"

"That sounds like a 'yes'." John stands up and announces, "Everyone! Kara Thrace has stripped naked and danced around before!"

Kara laughs, smacking John on the leg and then shouts, "And he wishes he had seen it!"
