Second floor common room, Monday afternoon

Aeryn likes to be left alone when she's in a bad mood, but at times like this she's slightly annoyed by the quiet. Even she can only spend so much time in the gym when she's bored, so Aeryn camps out in front of the television, watching the occasional court show and lowering her opinion of the human race in general.

At one point, she goes back to her room to retrieve the Nerf gun. Shooting at stupid people on TV actually helps.

"Yes," he agrees softly, because he can see that but it still feels wrong. "There are moments in our history when we had similar situations, when people were forced into a certain way of life. Heck, there are still places in the world where it happens, but we've grown. We've come to believe that being able to chose what you want to do with your life is a basic human right. We... I take it so for granted that it never crossed my mind that it would be different where you're from."

Aeryn nods, because she thinks they're going to have to agree to disagree on this. "It isn't a bad life, Cam. I get to do what I love, and I'm good at it. It's more important than choosing or not choosing it."

"Yeah," he agrees, although he sounds far from convinced, but he's come pretty much to the same conclusion as her. "I didn't... I'm sorry if I offended you."

"That's not the worst I've heard, actually," Aeryn says, with a tone of voice that says she's heard a lot of anti-Peacekeeper sentiment.

"John didn't like it either?" Cameron automatically assumes.

"He hasn't said much on the subject," she admits. "He doesn't really ask about that sort of thing."

"Oh," Cameron really isn't sure what else to say to that and stuffs his hands in his pockets. "He might be interested to know this, I don't think it's crossed his mind either."

"I've told him he can ask," she says. "I don't know if he wants to know."

She pauses. "He figures out some things on his own anyway."

"He'd want to know," Cameron replies and shrugs. "Like I said, we take our way of life for granted, it'd never have crossed my mind to ask this."

Aeryn nods. "I might talk to him."

He nods too and looks at the mistletoe that's lying around the room. There's still a bunch hanging from the ceiling, too. "You want to mow the ceiling some more?" He asks.

Aeryn picks up the controls again. "It'll all be gone by the time I'm done."
