2nd floor common room, late morning and possibly longer

Cameron's been up for ages. He's spend most of his morning in the gym, now however he's sitting in the common room with notes around him. Yes, notes. From abnormal psych class. It's december 29 and Cameron is studying and will be at it for the entire day if no one stops him.

"It's nice to know how much faith you have in me," she said, looking at him warmly. "Especially when I seem to be lacking it in myself."

[ooc: OMG stop being so emo! *thwaps her* And on that emoness, alas I must go to work! *hugs*]

She laughed softly. "Thank you, Cam. Thank you for everything," she said quietly.

[[Maybe there's something in the air? *g* *snuggles* I really don't get why we're having 11.30 bar closings!! It's been empty! *whines*]]

She paused for a minute, slotting a couple of pieces into the jigsaw. "So... change of subject I think is needed. Something a bit lighter. What are you plans for New Year's? Or haven't you got any?"

[[New Year's is gonna be 1am, but we're licensed to 3am, depending on Si's whim. It's gonna kill me!]]

"Yeah, I figure I should probably do something social too," she said, grinning wryly. "At least you know where she is. I've not really seen Charlie around since Christmas Day."

Elizabeth bit her lip. "Maybe give him a couple of days?" she suggested. "I don't know what Christmas is like for him; he might be feeling like I am; just wants to be alone for a while?"

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Elizabeth shrugged. "Not a table big enough in the room for this," she admitted, looking at the puzzle.

"Aww, hon, you know I appreciate and enjoy your company," Elizabeth said. "If it had been someone else in the room, I might have just saved starting this for another day."

Elizabeth laughed, and nodded firmly. "So you should be," she said, jokingly.

Elizabeth giggled, before looking at him sympathetically. "I'm sorry, I'm distracting you, aren't I?"

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"You can come and help with the puzzle, if you want?" Elizabeth suggested. "Or I'm sure we can find something else to do."

Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "Don't be stupid, of course you're not," she said firmly, pushing the box across to him. "There's still edges in there, if you want to look for them. If not, that pile is of pieces from a keyboard."

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Elizabeth grinned. "It's an office setting," she said. "Hopefully it's going to be easier than the last one I did. That was a pain and a half."

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're not dumb, Cam," Elizabeth said firmly, taking the pieces off him and adding them to another pile. "Stop putting yourself down like that.

And following orders is a very good skill. Especially in the military."

In a murmur, she added. "God knows there's some jackasses who can't."
