2nd floor common room, late morning and possibly longer

Cameron's been up for ages. He's spend most of his morning in the gym, now however he's sitting in the common room with notes around him. Yes, notes. From abnormal psych class. It's december 29 and Cameron is studying and will be at it for the entire day if no one stops him.

Yawning, Sam padded into the common room to watch television, then spotted Cameron. "Watcha doin'?"

"Studying," Cameron mumbled distractedly and popped an M&M in his mouth without looking up from his notes.

"Why? I mean, classes are over, right? There were final exams and everything."

"Yeah, but I need to keep busy. I can't afford to forget this stuff and then get behind in the next semester." Damn, but those mental illnesses were going to give him a headache.

"So you're studying over break?" Sam sat down in one of the chairs and leaned forward, elbows on knees. "I've gotta tell you, Cameron, that worries me a little, and I'm the poster girl for workaholism."

"It's not like I can study for the next semester as we haven't been able to write in on classes yet," Cameron sighed and poked at his notes. "I think I might go crazy just from reading this stuff."

"You just need to find something else to do," Sam said. "And I understand that need. A lot. After all, a bunch of us went squid hunting out of sheer boredom. She seems to be gone, in case you're wondering."

"Cam, hon, did we neglect to tell you that the semester doesn't start for another week or so?" Elizabeth asks, amused, as she heads into the common room.

"No, I kinda figured that much when I went to class and there weren't any teachers and then they gave me this thing called a report," Cameron stuck his tongue out at her.

Elizabeth snickered. "I'm just checkin', what with all these notes spread around," she says, picking up a sheet and reading. ""In the United States, mental illnesses have been categorized into groups according to their common symptoms in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, compiled by the American Psychiatric Association." Sounds like thrilling fun!"

"Oh yeah, it's the most fun I've had since classes finished." He groaned, sighed and tried to concentrate on the Post-traumatic stress disorder chapter.

"Did you want me to leave you to it?" she asked sympathetically. "Or is the fact that you're in the common room and not your own room a subconsious desire to be interrupted from the benality of last semester's work?"

"I don't have any work and I'm in here so I wouldn't wake Vala up," Cameron says a bit evasively. "Go ahead and stick around, I'm pretty good at not getting distracted."

Looking a little less edgy today, Anders wanders into the common room and flops down onto a couch opposite Cameron.

"Mitchell, it's break. What the frak are you doing studying last semester's notes?"

"Revising," Cameron clears his throat and sits up a bit. He prays Anders is not going to bring up the kissing thing.

"But dude, for what?" Anders stares at Cameron, confused. Studying isn't something he cares to do even under pressure, so this concept is completely nonsensical to him. "That class is over!"

He's not bringing up the kissing thing at all. Cally seems to be okay with it, but the look on her face was kind of funny when he told her, and Anders isn't sure what to think of that.

"Because I got a sucky grade and if I want to keep up with the next semester, I'll have to try and keep up with this." Cameron replied. It had to make sense somehow, he still didn't have any books for the next semester.

Anders scratches his head. "I don't see how keeping up with last semester's notes is gonna help you with next semester. Besides, dude, you were the TA and everything. I bet you did better than I did. 'cause that's not, like, hard."

"I got a B- and I'm supposed to be a TA," Cameron says disgruntled. "If I can keep this stuff fresh in my mind, it will be easer to jump right in the next semester.

Way late in the morning, Aeryn wanders into the common room, where she sees Cam for the second time that day. "You were up early," she greets him.

"Time's a waisting?" Cameron offers. "I fell asleep early and so I woke up early too." That and he's getting slightly obsessive after Crichton mocked him.

That makes sense to her. Upon seeing the work in front of him, she frowns. "Should I ask?"

He sighs as he's heard the question a few times by now. "Yes, I know it's the holidays and finals are over. Yes, I am studying because I don't want my grades to drop." He's sure it will make sense if he says it enough.

"Yeah," but he's not exactly convinced it will. He quickly changes the topic. "That was a pretty impressive work out this morning."
