Desperate to see his Fandom High peers, Lee has quite the bounce in his step as he comes into the common room. "Parker!" he says gleefully.

Parker is, due to things best left unmentioned, inordinately glad to see Lee.

"Apollo!" she says, jumping up and hugging him. "Long time no see, happy New Year, where *were* you?" She pouts at him.

Kara's not there, but it's not like touching Lee is a hardship.

Lee hugs her back joyfully as OMG person his age and not evil, manipulative and scary! Earth rules! "My name is Lee, Parker," he grumbles with a grin however.

"Happy what?" he asks.

"We just had our new calendar year start yesterday," Parker clarifies, hanging onto his arm a little longer, smiling with amusement. "You missed the drunken reveling. And the inevitable ugly hangovers. And I know your name, Adama. I just like my nickname better," she teased.

"Ah, nice," Lee says, nodding and oblivious to the omgCLING! of Parker on his arm. "I do regret missing the reveling, drinking and hangovers. My own holiday is the definition of SUCK."

"Ohhh, no," Parker sympathized, pulling Lee over to her poster set-up, and settling in next to him. "Bad family stuff, or travel crap? And you don't miss the hangovers, I think Sun took pictures of us. I'm not sure, I was a little too muzzy to tell."

Lee's warning bells are just barely registering but he smothers the thought. There's Ellen Tigh and there's Parker. He shrugs the thought off. "My family is insane," he says.

"Pictures, you say? I'll have to track those down," he says with a wicked grin.

"Aren't all families nuts?" Parker makes a face, then leans back over her posters, contemplating her artwork. "What do you think, too pushy?"

She's hoping that Thrace comes in, but she's not going to frighten Lee *too* much befor then. "And hey! Don't you owe me a present?" she pouts at him exaggeratedly, batting her eyelashes and then grinning.

"I think they look great, Parker," he says honestly.

Panicking at once, Lee bites his lip. "Of course! Your present! You should come by my room to pick it up, I brought it back with me," he says impishly before seeing Kara come in.

"Hi Lee," Angela says, smiling. "Having a good break?"

"Hey, Angela!" Lee says brightly. "Err... my break kinda was the definition of suck, but nevermind that -- how was yours? Did you stay here?"

"Sort of. There was this thing in the library, and this different version of me was here instead of me for a few days, and ... I don't understand it. But I'm back now." She smiles tightly, a little sick of telling the whole story but not irritated with Lee in particular. "Sorry yours sucked."

Lee decides not to ask. "Do you know when the new semester's schedule is going to be put up? I'm SO ready for classes to start again."

"Me too," Angela says. "I have no idea when they're going to put the schedules up. It has to be soon -- classes startnext Monday, right?"

"Yeah, they're cutting it a bit close, aren't they?" he replies.

"Way too close," Angela says. "I called my mom yesterday? And she wanted to know what classes I was taking? And she didn't believe I didn't know yet."

Angela shrugs. "They always seem to do stuff eventually, though."

"I feel a bit awkward with all the administration changing, you know?" he says quietly, hoping no one is listening in on this conversation, omg.

Angela lowers her voice as well. "I know what you mean," she says. "I was used to Bristow, even though he was scary, and now I just can't read this new guy at all. And UI hear he's hiring a bunch of deans, too."

"Crazy," Lee says, suspicious of new leaders except if they're hot older women, omg.

"Yep. I can't believe we're on our third principal in four months. It's like this school drives them away."

"Yeah, what's with that?" he asks.

"Dunno," Angela says. "We had four different English teachers last year at my old school, and that was a way easier job."

Lee nods. "Well, being in charge of us crazies is a rough job, I guess."
