Angela hands over the red sharpie and reads the poster over Parker's shoulder.

Hmm.

"Um ... that looks like a poster for Angel," she says, once again displaying ehr grasp on stating the obvious.

"It is," Parker says blithely. "And no, he didn't ask me to." She studies it in satisfaction. "I just felt the need to make up for some stuff I did over the holidays."

Hey, a nice present deserves an evil prank. Besides. It's not like he might not be good at it.

"Okay," Angela says, deciding she probably doesn't want to know what the "stuff" is. She considers. "Do we get to vote for seniors too, or is it class by class?"

"Class by class. Juniors for juniors, seniors for seniors.... I figured I might as well get a jump on it, since our StuCo is all juniors now, and none of the seniors seem aware of the elections coming up." She takes another pen and uncaps it. "Better him than Belthazor, anyway."

"But we're the biggest class," Angela grumps. "That's so unfair to you guys."

"I think Belthazor is a junior too, though. Isn't he?"

"Is he?" Parker frowns. "Oh, he *better* not run. I will *so* kick his ass if he does."

"Nobody would vote for him," Angela points out.

She chews on the side of her lip. "Actually, it'll be interesting to see who else runs from our class. I don't think Marty wants to go anywhere near it, but I might be wrong."

"New blood might be good, but... I don't know. If they didn't suffer through the first one, why shuld they get off easy this time?" Parker is pouting, just a little.

"At least Crane is gone. That guy gave me the creeps. And I can't remember what class Malfoy or McDonald are in. I wonder if they'll run."

"I have no idea about Draco or Lindsey McDonald," Angela says slowly. "And I'm with you on being kind of happy Crane is gone. He had this thing about Marty and it was just ... bad."

"I got that impression over Parent's Weekend. It was kind of... yeah, bad's a good word." Parker shook her head. "I guess we'll see. If too many people enter the race, maybe I'll bow out. But I am *not* going to make myself sick about this again. Vomiting blood does *not* appeal to me."

"Seriously, do not make yourself vomit blood," Angela agrees. "I have no idea who else from our class will run. I guess we just need to wait and see."

Anders, having suddenly remembered Angela's email from earlier today, ducks back around the corner into his room. He bounces over to Angela with a rectangular package wrapped in gold paper with a red bow (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/science/6fd6/).

"Chase! Got your email, and then I forgot 'cause I'm a spaz, but here's your Christmas present. Sorry it's all late, and I know it's kinda weird, but, well, I thought it might be kinda neat."

Angela unwraps the package looking a little perplexed, but a smile eventually breaks over her face. "This is actually pretty cool," she says, giving Anders a quick hug. "Thanks. I'm going to go put it on my desk."

When Angela comes back downstaris, she's carrying a present for Anders and a wrapped tin of chocolate-covered pretzels. "THe food's for you and Cally."

Anders opens the present and the tin of pretzels and just grins very broadly for a few minutes, then hugs Angela back. "Oh, wow. I am getting loaded down with baseball stuff. This is incredibly awesome. And, you know, the ant farm kinda doubles as a night light with the glowy base and stuff, so . . ."

He scratches his head and breaks off, looking slightly confused. "Well, I'm glad it didn't freak you out, at least. And these pretzels look great. Perfect munchies for TV-watching. Or, you know, other times."

"I don't usually freak out about bugs, except cockroaches and spiders," Angela confisdes. "And I'm glad you like my gifts, too." She gives Anders a look. "Not other times that would scar Rory even more if we discussed them, right? Because I seriously think she's still twitching."

"Like 'em? They're awesome and I love 'em." Anders breaks down into a helpless fit of snickering. "And no, 'cause pretzels? Ow. Gods, I hope she's not still mad at me. She says she's not, but she's giving me these looks."

"I don't think she's mad, just ... easily traumatized by the subject matter. She'll so get over it."

"Yeah. Guess I'll stop by with, like, cupcakes or coffee or something to help with that, though." Anders grins. "Unless she's got weird associations with cupcakes, now . . . "

"I think Ror would forgive most things for cupcakes or coffee, weird associations or whatever aside." Angela grins. "Besides, it's kind of fun to teas her."

"It is, isn't it?" Anders chuckles. "Not that I have any room to talk, with how much I got teased last night. But there will definitely be, um, bribe food or caffeine involved."
