Elizabeth had added her poster next to Parker's.

It was her only poster at the moment. There was no point in plastering the school with them if she decided not to run in the end.


Vote Elizabeth Weir as Junior Student Council Representative


She headed back to the corner table where she had started her jigsaw puzzle last week.

She looked distracted, and occassionally glanced across at the poster. Why was she running? Was it because she felt that she should?

Parker shoved at him, trying to unbalance him, rolling her eyes. "He's not yours, and please! Don't give me icky mental pictures, okay? One of the happiest things about the soul for me is no more leather!"

Parker started laughing. "Okay, let me try: Jack in tight black leather pants.... Jack in tight *red* leather pants... Jack in lace-up pirate leather pants... Ommmmmm... oh look, happy place."

Jack laughed. "Told you. Of course, it works in reverse. Professor the Tick in tight black leather pants? NOT a happy place. No offense to Professor the Tick."

"Aiiiieee!" Parker grimaced, flailing. "Oh, fabulous. I just automatically took that to the worst place possible, and ended up with our new principal in leather. Thanks a lot. Ack ack ack!"

Jack lies back on the floor and puts his hands behind his head. He'd be totally helpless if an adorable puppy named Sean decided to jump on him. "You see, I'm sadly out of things, and know nothing about our new principal. But... he can't be scarier than Bristow, right?"

"Not scarier but definitely--" Parker mouthed the word 'creepier' at Jack. "He listens in on the common rooms," she added in explanation. "And caught us playing Truth or Dare the other night." She frowned. "Then he gave us pie."

Sean jumped on Jack and started to lick his face, taking the rolling on the back as invitation to affection.

"Okay, I'm missing something. And not just a game of Truth or Dare. Damn, where am I when these things go on. But what's wrong with pie?"

Jack laughs and tries to fend Sean off, with a surprising lack of ability.

Parker chuckled in evil glee, the grimaced. "Highlights: we broke Rory's brain, telling her in how many ways Callynanders have sex. With handcuffs. Kara Thrace told the world my first name, for which she shall pay. And Jaye gave Archie Kennedy a lapdance-- with jazz hands-- after which, our new Principal showed up, assigned us punishment, then gave us apple pie." She frowned. "I still don't know what that's about."

She grinned and tugged on Sean's collar, just to give Jack breathing space.

Jack laughs hysterically, grateful for the breathing space to do so. "Oh, I *so* have got to get my act together. I missed that? Wait... which one is Archie Kennedy? I swear that there keep being people that I don't know."

"He was sick for half the term, he was in my Languages of Europe class. The one who looks like Lee Adama but with better hair?" She grinned fiendishly. "He kisses well. Or so I found out. Mmmmm."

"There are two of them that look like Lee? Hot damn. I love this school. So, do tell. Exactly how well *does* he kiss?" Jack leans closer, a charming smirk smile on his face.

Parker's tongue swept out to lick her lips in memory. "Very nice. First one was a dare in front of everyone, second one was a good-night kiss, with more oomph. He can't resist temptation," Parker said smugly. "Ooo. You should try! He's much saner than Angel. And he's a sailor, you might get lucky there."

"Oooo, okay, so it sounds like the first one was perfunctory, and the second was... voluntarily. And since I can't refuse temptation, Temptation, I'll have to keep an eye out for him." Jack grins at Parker gleefully.

Parker almost bounced as she waved a pen around, gesturing. "He's sort-of-kind-of-not-exactly Jaye Tyler's boyfriend. She's not staking a claim fast enough." She cocked her head. "Hey, she doesn't know you. Someone else to hit on."

Jack chuckles and rubs his hands together. "So many of the student body to do... I mean, meet, so little time."

Snickering, Parker said, "I really wish you *had* been there Sunday night. It would've been even more interesting. I owe Anders for the kissing dare, but Rory's the one who suggested Jaye give Archie a lapdance. I should get them coffee or cookies." She scowled. "And a great big bat for Thrace. Bitch."

"Hey, that's my roomie. Not that I've seen her much. What happened?"

"I told her my first name, and let me think she was going to keep it to herself. She told the whole common room. Twice. Grrrr." Her eyes narrowed. "She's gonna regret that."

Parker shook herself. "Anyway. Watching Rory's brain break as Cally made her say, 'I solemnly swear that I believe Cally and Anders have sex' was *almost* worth the price of admission. Almost."

Jack cracks up again. "Oh, God. Messing with people's minds is the most fun you can have with your clothes on."

Parker's grin went back to gleeful. "I also told Rory we were, ahem, fuckbuddies, because she insisted on thinking you were my 'boyfriend'. If she starts in on that again, just hit her with a pillow, okay? She's got Romeo and Juliet on the brain."

Jack groans. "Oh, hell. Not that I wouldn't fall at your dainty feet, Parker, but... yeah. You're one of my best friends. I'd kill or die for you, but that ain't love."

"Thank you. And right back atcha. But Jesus." Parker shook her head, sighing. "And see? If you said that to Rory? She'd start picking out wedding rings for us. What's that about?"

"Um... I suppose the romantic idea that everyone must desperately want to be paired off, two by two, like in Noah's arc?" Jack shrugs in bafflement. "Not that I knock love, or anything, but... what's the line? 'Men have died and worms have eaten them, but not for love'?" Checks to make sure it's not Hamlet, whew, As You Like it.
