Second Floor Common Room [Wednesday night]

Bored, bored, bored.

Having been holed up in his room all day working on a project, the meet-and-greet had totally slipped Bridge's mind.

So here he was, wandering in to the common room and finding it empty.

Flopping down on a couch, he proceeds to play "rock, paper, scissors". Against... himself.

"Me!" Bridge grins. "Of course, I've also lost every time. Technically."

"Sure, dude." Bridge grins. He holds out a fist. "Count of three?"

Jock-Boy Comes Bringing CANDY!

Anders wanders in from his room next door, arms loaded down with a frightening amount of candy from Wonka's. There are chocolate bars, Gobstoppers, lollipops, and all kinds of things -- but no gumballs. No, the gumballs are being hoarded for the lock on #201.

"Sugar! Get yer sugar here!" he calls out, dumping the whole load onto one of the tables and flopping onto a couch. "Carson! Tyler! Kawalsky! How goes it on this crazy day, guys?"

"Uh, out of curiousity, when you say 'crazy' do you mean crazy like how things normally are around here or some extra special brand of crazy?" Bridge says as he snags a handful of sour candies.

She holds out a hand. "Sucker, please."

*Hamlet has finally slept off his transcontinental jetlag, and heads downstairs, blissfully unaware that today is New Student Day. He sees the group in the common room and heads in, hearing Anders offer free candy to all.*

There isn't anything wrong with this candy is there? Say, I won't end up singing Billy Joel songs or believing I am the lovesick Queen of the Fairies if I eat it, will I?

Kara sits in a chair next to the candy and props up a sign.

"NEW STUDENTS! COME SAY HELLO! WE HAVE CANDY!"

She needs to fulfill her Welcome Wagon duties somehow.

"Good one, Thrace." Anders grins, fishes a large chunk of chocolate out of the foil packet, and tosses it up in the air to catch in his mouth. "Can't say we're not trying, huh?"

After putting away some of her stuff and meeting her room-mate emo_padawan, Yuffie decides to go exploring the dorm a bit. The sign luring new students with the promise of candy gets her attention, and she peeks her head into the second floor common room.

"There's candy here? For free?"

As Victor walked down the stairs, he heard a commotion coming from what looked like a common room. Careful to not draw attention to himself, he slowly walked in to see what was going on.

When he saw the sign, his heart leapt. Candy! But that would involve interacting, and that would mean...ah, screw it. FREE CANDY!

His heart fluttering, he walked up to the blond-haired girl next to the sign. "Um, excuse me...can I have some, please?"

Cordelia, after putting away all of her things as best as possible in the sliver of closet space that Quinn had afforded her, wandered down to the common room on her floor.

"Hello," she said, following the sign's orders.

Okay, there have to be new students around her somewhere. Right? I went to the meet-and-greet and only met one.

As he was talking with all the people he had just met, Victor got an idea.

"Hey, guys, do you mind if I videotape this?" he asked, indicating the camcorder strapped over his shoulder. "Sort of like a 'Welcome to Fandom High' thing?"

[ooc: I have to go to bed soon, so I'll try and keep posting as much as I can, but if I suddenly drop off, I'm on my way to bed. Sorry, it's late. =/

On the plus side, it's an excuse to get goofy. :)]

"Great!" Victor said. He popped off the lens, adjusted a few things, then pressed the eyepiece up to his face and pressed the PLAY button. "Rolling!"

"Did I hear somebody yelling about candy down here? Is there any left and are they caramel?"

"There could be," Kawalsky said to the unfamiliar red-head. "Hang on, I'll check." He pushed past Anders to rummage through the candy pile. He emerged with the single remaining piece of caramel. "Heads up!" he tossed it to her.
