Pool in the Basement [Early Morning]

There is no squid there is no squid there is no squid.

John opens his eyes, peers down into the pool...and there's still no squid. Whew.

Air pump in hand, John goes about inflating three inflatable rafts.

He's not really up to swimming but raft racing? Now that's cool.

John jumps in one of the rafts, grabs the paddles and starts rafting across the pool.

There is no squid there is no squid there is no squid.

Callisto had decided to take an early morning swim. Scratching at the back of her neck she wandered down to the pool.

She raised an eyebrow at the sight of Crichton paddling a big yellow thing in the water. "Morning."

He waves at her with the paddle.

"Callisto!" He eyes her cautiously. "You're not gonna get naked again, are you?"

"No, not unless your roomate is planning on showing up," Callisto grinned. "After all time I brought some clothes that it it wont matter if they'll get wet."

She cocked her head to the side. "What are you doing?"

"Rafting," he tells her and continues slowly paddling to the other side of the pool. "It's good exercise and it's not in the gym. Ever been rafting?"

"Yes, and that doesn't look like any kind of raft I've ever seen."

John uses his paddle to flick water towards Callisto.

"Inflatable raft," he tells her and starts paddling away in case of retaliation. "Cheaper but durable."

Callisto did not look like she's just had a very naughty idea. "Just excuse me for a moment while I get changed."

"Uh oh," he says under his breath and paddles quickly to the middle of the pool. It'd take her longer to get to him there.

Returning to the edge of the pool a short while later in clothes a touch more suitable for swimming, Callisto dived in and started swimming towards Crichton.

John starts paddling away.

"What're you doing?" As she approaches, John holds up the paddle to defend himself.

Callisto simply duck-dived and started swimming underwater. A suspicious person might have thought she was planning to tip the raft over or something.

"Crap," John says and starts madly paddling over to the side, hoping to get to land before she could do anything bad. "Crapcrapcrapcrap."

Callisto pushed up against the bottom of the raft. Of course, since she was underwater it was hard for her to tell if she was pushing in the right place to tip it.

Wandering around the dorms, Aeryn ends up in the pool area because if that isn't a perfect place to come in..., and just starts shaking her head at John and Callisto. A lot. "Just don't drown," she advises.

If Aeryn's in time to see the ill placed kick, she'll hear John groan and slip under the water.

"Callisto, what did you do to him?" she asks, watching to make sure he comes up again.

"I dodn't mean to kick him there!" Callisto yelled. "And he pulled my hair!"

She sighs at both of them. "Be more careful! That's one of my favorite areas of his! John, are you all right?"

"Yep, peachy," he says and finally stands up. "Peachy and wet. Beautiful start to the day."

"What are you doing, anyway?" she asks, seeing the raft.

"Exercising?" Okay, that's a lie but it's a good lie!

"I think you may be doing it wrong."

He swims over to where she's standing.

"Come in and show me how then," he suggests.

Aeryn takes a step back. Some lessons are never forgotten. "Do you know how many pairs of leather pants I've ruined thanks to pools?" she asks.
