The Lobby: Unofficial Campus Tour.

Marty comes downstairs with Sydney Bristow in order to give her a tour of the dorms and campus.

"Okay first things first. Each floor has a common room with a TV, kitchen and general lounging area. For some reason everyone gravitates to the 2nd floor lounge, but that's probably because we're the coolest floor."

[OOC: Open to anyone. Marty will be giving his warped view of things about campus and town]

Still roaming around campus, Angela is surprised to see Marty. She runs up to give him a hug.

"Hi," she says. Then, registering the brunette: "Sydney? I didn't know you were coming back."

Marty returns the hug and a quick kiss. "Hey you. Actually this isn't the same Sydney. So Syd? Meet your former roommate who wasn't your roommate."

Marty then curses the multi-dimensional weirdness that is Fandom high.

"Good, 'cause I didn't want to move the furniture again," Angela says. "I hope the other Syd is okay, though. And the baby."

She turns to not-her-roommate Sydney. "Hi, I'm Angela. I used to live with, um, the other you. So you're new here?"

"You can post go to any common room. Unless someone is still there. Often times someone is already there doing stuff. It's usually a place to hang and interact with other students when your bored or need something to do."

Nadia wanders slowly down the stairs until she spots Marty talking with two other girls. Figuring this must be The tour he invited her on, she hurries over to join them.

"Hey, I didn't miss too much, did I?"

Mac, looking a little bored is wandering the dorms when she notices a small group in the lobby. She wanders up to the nearest member of the group.

"You guys doing anything exciting? I'm in need of entertainment."

Nadia smiles at the two. "Not yet. I haven't met a lot of people." She holds out her hand. "Hi. I'm Nadia."

Angela holds out her own hand. "Hi, Nadia. I'm Angela. You're new here?"

"Marty here is apparently offering up a tour." Nadia shruggs, grinning. "We might not get TOO bored. . . ."

"I was just saying hi, but I think Marty here is doing a tour. My name is Angela, by the way." She waves at the newcomer.

"Is it that painfully obvious?" She takes Angela's hand and gives it a quick shake.

Aeryn's wet when she passes through the lobby. And of course there are people there.

"Nah, I'm just used to seeing most of the students who have been here -- it's not that big a school, y'know? Besides, if Marty gives you his tour, you'll totally pass for somebody who's lived here for years."

A panicky expression breifly crosses her face. "Just don't believe anything he says about people being inbred. Or the cafeteria. And if he glares at this cute guy named Cole, it's not foreplay, it's ..." she sighs. "I should probably come with you guys, huh?"

"Cool," Angela says, smiling as she recovers her bearings. After all, an older version of her was around for a while, why can't this be a different Sydney?

"I'm in 304. So what brings you to Fandom, Sydney?"

Nadia wonders when she'll get used to the strange way of answering around questions that her fellow students have. She puts on an expression of mock-shock. "You mean Marty here doesn't always tell the truth? I'm appalled!"

"Sounds like the good stuff to me." she grins and extends a hand, "Mac, I'm new here. This might aid me in my quest not to get lost round here."

Raising a hand she smiles, "I'm Mac, and I'm thinking a tour might be a good start for someone as prone to get lost as me."

Nadia spends a moment trying to place where she might have met Sydney before; she was strangely familiar. Maybe she was one of the crowd at the party last night? Well, she'd figure it out eventually. "Nice to meet you, too. Are you another new student?"

Angela chokes back a laugh, then speaks with clear affection. "He actually usually does. It's just his truth and objective truth..." She weighs one hand against the other. "Not always the same thing. But he's a really good person to know. We've been dating since, like, the second week of school."

"I think I might do that." she responds, nodding. "Seems like a good thing to start off with."

Nadia spots the creepy quiet girl who'd nodded at her the night before, and keeping up with tradition, nods.

She decides not to ask why she's wet.

The Tour begins... (Gremlin Talk)

Marty starts walking the group through the hall.

"First of all, I'm sure some of you have heard about the gremlins in the dorm. They are nasty little things with sharp teeth and trust me you don't want to get bitten. When that happens be prepared for total humiliation."

"When bitten a couple of things can happen. One: You'll tear off all your clothes and run around like a loon. Two: You'll dress and act like someone else and act like a loon. Three: You'll just act like a maniac."

"The best way to deal with a gremlin is either to run away or smash it quickly before it bites you."

"Good plan." More hand shaking. "I'm Nadia. I wandered around for awhile last night, and let me tell you, not getting lost would be a very good thing."

"So you definitely know it's not foreplay, then." She leans in closer to Angela. "So was he kidding when he told me he was a professional killer, then, or was that more of 'Marty truth'?"
