Gym - Saturday Evening

Victor entered the gym for the first time, and was amazed at the amount of equipment available. Since it was empty, he found a bench and began to strip down to his workout clothes. He removed his jacket and shirt and pants, revealing a grey a-shirt and blue gym shorts. He carefully folded his clothes and, leaving them on the bench, went to go work out.

He warmed up with a few streches, then jogged around a bit to get a better idea of the gym itself. By the time he reached his clothes again, no one else had come in yet, so he decided to do some of the exercises that he had learned at Xavier's.

Concentrating, he hopped in place for a little bit to ready himself. Then, he took off in a sprint toward the nearest wall. Except, instead of running into it, he began to run up it, using his powers and momentum to stay upright. He turned slightly, and continued his jog along the wall, circling the perimeter as if it was horizonal terrain.

Walter had enjoyed his trip to the gym the prior evening and the afternoon's bowling had done nothing to work off the excess energy he'd built up. It seemed like the place to be since he was still getting the feel for things.

He crushed out his cigarette and entered the gym. He was not expecting to see a green kid in gym clothes running laps on the wall, but he stopped goggling after a moment and began stretching.

"You mind a running partner?" It would give him a chance to ask the three dozen questions that had sprung to mind as soon as he saw the green guy.

Victor's heart skipped a beat when he heard the voice. He lost his concentration and tripped, rolling along the wall as he slid down it, eventually ending halfway on the wall, halfway on the floor. "Ow," he groaned, even though nothing really hurt. Except his pride.

"You alright?" Walter didn't get up from his stretch since the green guy didn't seem seriously hurt, and what person wants to be fawned over after a pratfall anyway?

"Yeah, I'm fine." Victor groaned, picking himself up. He dusted himself off and responded to the guy looking for his boyfriend before turning back to Walter. "Sorry if I freaked you out."

After answering the guy looking for his boyfriend, Walter walked over to the green guy.

"Takes more than that to freak me out." Walter stood up and rolled his shoulders. "And if you aren't hurt, I could still use someone to run with." He held out a hand. "I'm Walter." In case the green guy hadn't heard him introduce himself.

"Victor," he replied, taking the hand and shaking it. "Sure, I can run with you. On the ground, right?"

Walter grinned. "You don't usually run on the wall? I don't mind if you do."

Jake has never, in the months he's been at Fandom High stuck his foot inside the gym (except for the one time with the leather), but Krycek is proving elusive so he's braving the world of the Scary People. "Hey," he called out to the people being scary and healthy and such. "Any of you seen Krycek?"

"Is Krycek man, woman, or squid?" Walter asked, still leaned over stretching.

"Man. Dark hair, this high--" Jake demonstrated then turned the motion into a handwave. "You new, right?"

"Yeah, I'm new, but I haven't seen him. I don't think. I mean there are a lot of tall dark-haired guys around here." Walter rose from his stretch and waved back before taking a new position. "I'm Walter. I'm on the third floor in the dorms."

Jake looked thoughtful. "That's a good point." He replied to Victor and turned to Walter again. "I'm Jake, I live off campus, but mysterious elusive boyfriend's in 230."

"Is that who Krycek is?" Walter glanced up for a second before returning to trying to introduce his chest to his shins and grinning. "Does he pull disappearing acts often?"

"Who?" Victor called. "I don't know who that is, sorry."

Jake turned his head and spotted other new guy. "Dude, you're green," he pointed out, keen of eye as always. However, that was not important at the moment. "Alex Krycek? Wears a leather jacket a lot? Looks like he's abusing eyeliner?"

"And you need a tan," Victor countered. It was lame, he knew, but it was the only thing he could think of at the moment.

"Sorry, I haven't seen him."

Jake grinned at the reply. He focused for a moment, then waved a sickly green hand at new guy. "This do, you reckon?" then he wrinkled his nose again. "Damnit. D'you know if there's anyone in the commons?"

"Cool!" he said with a grin. "How did you do that?"

"Oh, and there's a bunch of people up on the second floor. You might want to try there."

Down in the Gym

After spending some time in the common room, Kara comes down to the gym to work off some energy. She settles down on the mat and starts with some stretches.

After the sophomores' student council meeting on the fourth floor, Anders heads down to the gym for his evening workout.

He stops dead when he sees Kara there, memories of the incident at Parker's birthday party still fresh in his mind.

"Hey, Thrace," he says awkwardly. "Didn't expect to see you down here."

[OOC: Victor? Just as a warning, these two tend to get really talky. Hope you don't mind us using the post.]

Kara looks up from her stretches as she hears his voice. "Hey Samuel. Doc says I need to start working my knee again."

"Cool," says Anders, and laughs nervously. "Good to hear it. I was getting kinda worried about that."

He sits down across from her and starts in on his own warmup stretches. "You, uh, mind if I join you?"

Kara gives him a small smile and says, "Just like old times, right?"

The smile throws him. It's not forced and it's not sarcastic, like the ones he's gotten so used to seeing from her since the accident. He's not complaining; he's sick of the fighting and constant tension between them, and this is a welcome change.

"Just like old times," Anders agrees after a moment. "Any minute now you'll be kicking my ass again, and I'm gonna go home with half a dozen bruises."
