He looks confused for a moment, then his mind catches up with his mouth and his ears turn a nice shade of pink. "Deck you! I totally said deck you. There's nothing I should need to check out! You're... You're fine. Nope, I said deck." He nods vigorously.

"No, you didn't. Those words don't sound even remotely similar," says Aeryn, who hears in Sebacean.

"Yes they do! They're like two letters apart. I totally said 'deck'. Maybe those microbe thingies are acting up?" Cameron suggests.

"My microbes are working just fine. Check me for what?"

"Underwear?" It's sad that his brain totally runs out of imagination when he gets into tight spots like this with girls who could probably do some serious damage to some of his more treasured body parts. He jumps up and away from the table. "Oh god. I'm sorry. It's that whole voicemail thing and you called and... I'm just a guy and you mentioned... and not wearing... and... Shit, I'm sorry."

Aeryn's face can't decide if it wants to go pale or really red, but settles on the former. For a moment all she can do is stare and try to sink into the chair, and-

"You were going to check me for underwear?"

"No! No no no no! That would mean," he gestures with his hands, realises what exaclty he's gesturing and stuffs them in his pockets. "No, slip of tongue. It's... I wouldn't dream of it. You're... We're friends and I lvoe Vala and you love John and just... No way!"

"Good!" Aeryn says, though her face is less pale and more red now. "Why would you want to know whether I'm wearing underwear or not?"

Cally nearly chokes on her omelette. "Who's not wearing underwear?"

"Everyone's wearing underwear!" Cameron shouts quickly.

"You're not checking!"

"No, but I can show you!" That was so not what he was meant to say.

Aeryn gapes at him.

"Fine," she says.

Cameron gapes back.

"I errr..." He clears his throat and because it's only fair as omg he got to see hers, he pulls his jeans down enough to show off his niftly F16 boxers.

"Me," Aeryn says automatically, and then realizes what she just said. "I mean, I am wearing underwear!"

Cameron loves Dean Martin and his eyes totally did not stray. Nope.

Aeryn sighs at him and stands up, pulling the waistband of her pants down just enough to see that she is, in fact, wearing underwear. "Happy?"

There's just a fraction of a second where he's staring as he's stunned that she actually did that and he's definitely not comparing in his mind. "Very," he clears his throat and quickly looks up at the ceiling. "Right. Good to know. Thanks for errr... solving that."

"You're welcome," Aeryn says, and sits back down.

~~And because her mun is a brat.~~ "I'm wearing a bra, too. In case you were wondering."

Cameron gapes at her. "I don't. I'm not... I'm... I'm 17 for god's sake. Girls without underwear are hot and it's kinda hard to think and... But I'm not... Oh god, this isn't helping." He groans and wishes he could sink through the floor or something.

Cally takes this opportunity to make Cameron flail a little more.

"Actually, you know Cam? I'm totally underwear-less underneath my pajamas."

"You don't count!"

"Why not?!"

"That so totally counts," Anders pipes up, glaring at Cameron. "Besides, so am I. Does that count?"

"No, because neither of you feature in my fantasies." Cameron says quickly and catches himself. "Not that Aeryn does!"
