2nd floor common room, morning

Deciding the 2nd floor's awesomeness needs to be proven some more, Cameron is in the common room this morning making omelettes the way his father taught him. It might involve gjetost cheese and avocado.

Marty comes in holding a wadded up bunch of campaign posters with his name on it. He looks over at the omlettes Cam is making.

"See? Now this is what makes the 2nd Floor the awesome place that it is. Food!"

"You've got that right. I'd say we're pretty damn keen," Cameron grins as he uses Tick's expression. He fills a plate for Marty and slides it towards him.

"What's up?" He asks,eyeing the bunched up posters.

Marty holds up the wad of posters. "Someone keeps trying to nominate me for Student Council. I thought I'd and burn these in the fireplace before any more show up. Want me to get the coffee started? I can't bake or cook worth a damn, but I can make the coffee."

"Sure, I don't drink a lot of coffee myself so I'm kinda sucky at it." Cameron nods and waves in the direction where he vaguely knows the coffee maker recides. "You don't feel like running again? You did a pretty good job with the walking home thing last semester."

"Didn't help Kitty." Marty muttered to himself as he tossed the posters into the fireplace.

"Nah," he said in a loud voice. "Turned out to be a bunch of boring meetings. With Parkie."

"Uh huh. I suppose that leaves you time now to do some more fun things," Cameron set back to chopping some more cheese and avocado. "Do you know who spread around the posters?"

"Well judging from the fact that the posters look a lot like Parker's? I'm thinking dear old 'Reenie had a hand in it," Marty said as he flipped on the TV.

"Hey! Look! Lightning Bug is on! I love that show."

Marty looks up from his omelette with a wary look.

"Hey Jack. What'd I do now? If it's about that ferret thing, really man that was supposed to be a message for Angela."

"No, no fe--what? Nevermind doesn't matter. I need your help, you need to move into the suite."

Marty gave Jack a weird look. "Move into the- What? Your suite? You've got five people living in there already. Why do you want me?"

"Because Kawalsky moved out and I'm surrounded by girls who may or may not try and hunt for my brain in my sleep tonight."

"I'll give you money if you move in?"

Anders comes shuffling in from next door, sniffing at the air. He's obviously just woken up, since he's barefoot and in his pajama pants, and his hair is sticking up in even more simultaneous directions than usual.

"Dude. Something smells awesome out here," he says, rubbing his eyes.

Cameron grins and hops up. "Tastes awesome too! I made breakfast. Grab some coffee or milk and I'll get you some."

"You made breakfast? Dude. For like, everybody or something?" Anders rubs his eyes some more and yawns. "Frak, I shoulda put a shirt on. 's kinda cold out here."

"Only for the second floor, man." Cameron does not pause to eye Anders' chest, not at all. He grabs a plate, puts the omelette on it and puts it down on the table. "Just felt like omelettes this morning and figured it would probably be easiest to make sure I had enough for anyone who might wander in."

"You know that's asking to go bankrupt on this floor, man. Everybody wanders in here." Anders chucks a thumb toward the wall that the common room shares with room 201. "I should know. I can hear you guys."

"I'm already bankrupt after christmas, man." Cameron points out, although it doesn't explain the food. "And can you blame them? We totally got the best floor of the entire dorms."

A little late, Aeryn wanders into the common room. "Hi," she says, taking a seat in one of the chairs.

"Yo! You're in luck." Cameron, having just finished another omelette, fills up her empty plate. "Coffee, Oj. or milk?"

Aeryn's tired enough to accept the plate and say "Coffee," without thinking. Then, "Is there a reason you're making breakfast?"

"Cause I'm friendly like that and I thought people should try the recipe," he fills a cup for Aeryn and puts it down for her. "Err... I'm not sure how you drink it."

"Black," she answers. "It's probably the best way to not offend the Coffee God."
