Sometime Sunday Morning, 4th floor common room.

Yuffie was bored. She had signed up for classes, decorated her room and probably pushed her roomies closer to the dark side while doing so and guessed nothing in town would be open yet. Suckage.

Well, at least she had gotten stuff from her secret sibling. While she normally wasn't a big reader, the "Zombie Survival Guide" was pretty cool. For a book. And probably required reading around here anyway.

So now she was in the 4th floor commons, sitting on the floor with her back wall and reading. The TV was turned to some loud cartoon, and she had a ball she was throwing against the wall so it bounce on the floor back to her hand.

*bump* *bump* *thwap*

Anyone coming though? Would probably be jumped on and talked at.

"My sucky dad." Yuffie made a face. " I only ran away! And mugged people... I got into a *tiny* bit of trouble and he wanted me to have a 'new start' and stop mugging people and like, learn stuff and stuff. How about you?"

"Like an underground city?" Yuffie brightened up. "That would be cool, in caverns and fighting.. I don't know, lava monsters and stuff."

"Demons?" She thought she fought something called a demon, once, but it might not be the same thing. "What are they like?"

There are all sorts of them," Bel said. "Different appearances, different powers. Some" -- he tapped his chest -- "even look like normal humans."

"So you're a demon? Really?" She seemed to consider this for a moment. "Neat! Can you do anything cool?"

Bel didn't want to freak out Allie, so he decided not to shift into his demon form. "Yeah," he said, holding out his hand and conjuring a small fireball. He quickly closed his hand and snuffed it lest he get in trouble for summoning fire in the building.

"It's part of what I am," Bel said. "Not all demons can do that, but I can. I can throw it, too, but not here in the dorms. If I got expelled my dad would kill me."

Yuffie laughed. "Yeah, I know. I have threats of dire injuries if I mis-behave, too." Her grin took on a mischievious tone to it. "So I'm tottally not getting caught if I do anything."

Bel looked upward. "Careful, there are cameras everywhere in this place," he murmured. Then he looked back at Yuffie and grinned broadly. "I avoid getting caught, too."

"Yeah, I heard" Yuffie muttered back, her nose wrinkling. Cameras? totally sucked. She then grinned. "I suppose I could think of it as more of a challenge, though."
